"As featured in "Derry Girls"!A second-hand and antiquarian bookstore, selling both old and new books at reasonable prices. Specialising in Irish history, literature and poetry, Foylebooks also carries a huge range of modern crime fiction, romance, adventure, biography, theology, art, world history and children's books. It’s the ultimate place to go if you’re hoping to find a good read."
Cosy traditional book store. Foyle Books seems to sell their own tote bags too in case you need help carrying the loot home.
A lovely hidden gem for all bookworms! The selection of books is vast, covering anything and everything. Add to that, helpful staff and this is a must-visit if you set foot in Derry/Londonderry.
My idea of heaven! An old-fashioned book store with mostly second-hand books some new tomes too with floor to ceiling shelves. I could have spent all day in there! The owner, Ken is very knowledgeable and good craic....I enjoyed our conversation. Bought a number of rare books for my own collection and he gave me a generous discount. Would really recommend a visit if books are your thing. Situated at the back of the Craft Village, just off Shipquay Street opposite the entrance to the Richmond Centre.
What a lovely independent bookshop! Loved every minute of our visit and my husband nearly had to drag me away! Got some lovely books... but could have bought loads more! If I lived in Derry I would be in so much trouble... thanks Jim!
Great little shop, nicely situated. Very friendly with a little bit of everything. We picked up a few reference books, some fiction, and some nice additions of classics. We’ll be making it a monthly trip.
The people who work here are so friendly and helpful. It's a used bookstore, so obviously the selection is going to be pretty hit-or-miss; you have to go in ready to just browse for whatever might pop out at you. A lot of the stock seems to be more scholarly such as Irish history, poetry, antique books, etc, but they have a reasonably large fiction department, as well. Lastly, I found their prices to be very affordable on most of the books. I bought three books for £5, which is hard to beat.
Bookshops like this are becoming a rarity. The shop is full of books you won't find in mainstream bookshops. The owner is very welcoming and has a great sense of humour. I will definitely be paying another visit when I'm in the area again. If you are a book lover please show your support and drop in.
Great shop, wonderful selection of modern and classic books, including local interest. Reasonably priced. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Intriguing little shop off Bishop's Gate in Derry - full of interesting books on local history with other diverse subjects spanning world history to Italian cities - in Italian of course!! Excellent place to browse.
Cute shop of used books... most of the books are old, but not old enough to be interesting
