Great car parking. Nice big tables. Lovely welcome. Great choice of food. Fabulous fire. Certainly a place to return time and time again.
Amazing meal, I went for comfort food, steak and kidney pudding, homemade, came with a assortment of veg, red cabbage, broad and whole green beans, carrots , I chose thick chips. Partner had cod and chips and it was massive, and well cooked! Too full for a dessert!

We were a table of 8 with 2 kids yet the service was quick and the staff are very pleasent. The food was great. The garlic bread starter was nearly large enough to be a meal on its own. The belly pork was cooked just right. Good food good service and a good atmosphere what more could you ask for.
We had an excellent lunch here. It was nice to go to a pub that had an interesting lunch menu - a lot better than some of the bland offerings in chain pubs. Food and drink were good value and the staff friendly. It must be doing something right as Acton Turville has a population of one man and a dog but the pub was busy.
We had a lovely meal here, we were greeted with a friendly welcome, the surroundings were clean and tidy as were the toilets. The food was well presented, tasty and portions were large. We thought the prices were also really reasonable, loved the log fire and the pub dog.
One of the best 'local' Roast lunches we have had. Coupled with a lovely setting and great friendly and attentive service, it's a definite 'must go back again'. An amazing casual drop-in find!!.
Been a few times not yet disappointed. It's very much about value and this pub offers that in spades. Reasonably priced, ample portions by any but the most ravenous standards, and well cooked. Drinks much like most pubs, setting is comfortable and not too modern, retaining its traditional feel but clean and fresh. Access is level from the ample carpark to bar. Setting is much like the stereotypical Cotswold village. Although quite a small hamlet it is quiet and character-full highly recommended.. update Jan 23. Another visit. Still holding good. £23 two course Sunday lunch well cooked with drink. Competitive. And Staff good laugh too.
Gorgeous evening, setting terrific, warm welcome , food was exceptional especially steak and ale pie. Rooms clean and everything you require , breakfast enormous which sets you up for the day. Would highly recommend
Food is always fabulous, staff always make time there enjoyable, relaxed and never rushed. Perfect place to go for any celebration or just for good hearty, friendly evening out.
