I really can’t fault the place. I saw the car I wanted and drove the 30-odd miles through to Falkirk to view it. Whilst that car had been sold there were plenty others to look at. George was laid back and, other than the usual salesman patter, didn’t pressure me into buying. I got a fair trade in for my car and we shook on it. I was a little disgruntled later to find that the £1000 deposit was non-refundable but thankfully it didn’t matter. After going home I looked at their reviews and was alarmed to read the horror stories but I’m sure there are just as many bad stories out there about the major retailer in Scotland so thought it best to just play it by ear and see how it went. I picked the car up a few days later to find that it had 2 new tyres and new front discs and pads as well as a replacement insert on the rear bumper after George spied a fault that I hadn’t noticed. So far I’ve had to replace a valve on a rear tyre bad seal and the battery but that’s got more to do with it sitting for 2 weeks in Aberdeen at -10°C than being an actual defect that F1csm could have picked up. You always run the risk when buying a second hand car but I have no grumbles and I’d probably go back again only probably due to the distance
Be warned you buy a vehicle from here at your own peril,we were lucky we managed to get our money back through the Financial Ombudsman, they are not affiliated to anyone,so the Motor Ombudsman won't help you "Several thousand pounds spent fixing motor" they said Total lies which eventually caught themselves out, We bought a motor which had a faulty automatic clutch/gearbox we found out when we took it to a garage for a diagnostic that F1 had took it there 2 years before for the same thing but never got it repaired These guys are conmen who are only interested in your money,please check other reviews
So far so good, phoned up and arranged to see George pleasant and very helpful gentleman, as its my first time buy a car on finance he was very reassuring and confident in helping myself with a car and today he's managed to secure me a deal. 5* for me can't wait to get new wheels voom voom! Cheers guys!
The service I received from Jim and the team was second to none. I was kept up to date the full way with updates for my new car. Mot and service were completed prior to pick up and all advisories were rectified. Thank you again
Got a car from them a year ago and had nothing but issues from the start. 128 point check is just made up as they sold us the car with 4 tyres with less than 20psi per tyre and one as low as 12psi so that was the first lie. Told us they had changed the oil, another lie, told us all the brakes had been replaced which was another lie as I've had to replace all of the discs and pads myself. The interior mats and carpets had all been spray painted black as it all ended up coming off on our hands and clothes. They will sell you the world but deliver you a wheelie bin. Avoid at all costs. Response to request for car details. I'm afraid not, it was in my wife's name and I won't be providing details just for you to reply with your standard cheeky and unprofessional replies. George sold us the car and made us feel special and couldn't have been any better at sorting the deal. As soon as we received the car all of that ended and it was just lie after lie about what had been done to the car pre sale. We went from over the moon with the service and our new car to very unhappy and doubting our decision. Also I'd like to amend the 128 point check to 85 point check. Either way it was not done correctly but had been signed off by your mechanic. How can your check miss dangerously low tyre pressures? That's the most basic of things to check when selling a car especially to a family with young kids. Regardless of the faults I do love my car. Its great now everything is as it should be but the point is that it should have been like that when I got it. Not at my own expense after the fact.
Purchased a car last year and reported a fault with the gearbox within a week of picking up the car. Was told by someone on the phone it was the synchromesh and was normal. After a further few weeks of driving I decided to contact them again as it didn't seem right. Nobody called me back or responded to my emails. My wide tool unwell with cancer shortly afterwards so decided to wait until her treatment etc was past, now they're denying even knowing about it and I'm having to pay over £1000 to get the gearbox fixed. Will be taking this further to my legal representative but will never be dealing with these cowboys again. AVOID as they want your cash but not your problems afterwards.
Very good service from Jim, went to view a used outlander, Jim took the time to answer all the questions regarding the car, required a service and MOT before pickup and Jim kept me informed at every stage, even helped me tax it before driving off! Very pleased with the car and it was clear it was valeted before pickup.Great service all round!
Good selection of cars. Friendly staff. 30 day warranty. Any defects with car were fixed, no problem, which is worth a lot when buying a second hand car. Fair to deal with.
5 stars from me, picked up my gleaming Audi A3 from Derek Scott, whom I found to be a very knowledgeable, friendly and genuine guy. The car was a credit to the preparation team, serviced before I got it, MOT'd thoroughly including a gleaming new set of brake discs which were only an advisory. The service is still continuing after the sale as well. I will be a customer for many years if this is the service on offer. Keep up the good work, Derek and the team.
Outstanding service highly recommend buying a car from these guys! In love with my new car. It's worth the travel up. Peter was really helpful and super friendly. I could't ask for a better salesman. I have not had any issues with my a4 saloon atal. I definitely will buy another car from this company again in the future. Thank you Peter for the great service highly appreciated.
