My iPhone 6 battery died and my phone would not turn on, I was unsure what to do next so I took my phone to for the phone and computer. The service was excellent, fast (1 hour) and cheap. There was a particular issue with my phone and the staff went beyond the call of duty to rectify it without any additional cost to myself. Extremely pleased with the service and price which was only £20. Highly recommended.

PLEASE READ UPDATED POST SCRIPT BELOW

Very disappointing saga. Took my son's iPhone to be fixed nearly two weeks ago.  Broken screen but still working.  Without going into all of the details, was told that because of water damage it wasn't an easy repair - the phone has never been water damaged.  

After a week of chasing and being told the phone was with their brilliant but unreliable electronics guy in Warrington  I was told that the screen had been replaced,  but there was now an error code.   I was then told that their expert had identified the fault and just needed to buy an IC chip.  

Two days later the phone had still not been fixed and I was offered a replacement.  On further questioning I was told that the replacement would be a 16gb model, not the 64gb model I had taken in, and was being offered for good will on the proviso that my son would unlock his phone should they be able to fix it. 

At this point I cut my losses and asked for the phone back.  That took a further three days and when it came back today it still had the original smashed screen but is now completely unresponsive, which leads me to doubt everything I was told by the owner. 

Without a doubt the worst customer service I have ever experienced.  I now have to take it somewhere else to have it fixed and will consider my options for further action against Formby Fones.

UPDATE - Having had the phone checked by another repair shop, I can confirm that what David told me about the damage to the phone was correct, and that his offer to replace the phone was very reasonable. However, I stand by my comments about the level of customer service - had communications been better throughout the process I would have been more inclined to accept what David told me.

Well if you want phone in worse condition down when you pick it up after numerous visits to the shop this is the place for you. 
Took my iPhone 6 in as kept freezing and then acting like it had a mind of its own. Was told on Saturday that it needed a new screen. Went back in on Tuesday as problem was still occurring. Was again told it needed a new screen so a new one was put on. Problem still occurred so I took it back. Again. Was then told it was not the screen but an internal problem that only Apple could resolve. I was told the they would put my old screen back on and offer me a full refund. Went back the next day to pick the phone up and the old screen (which is now apparent was working perfectly) would now not fit my phone properly. When this was put to the gentleman behind the counter he asked if I was accusing him of jumping on the phone. 

So to sum up, if you want to waste your time and get your problem misdiagnosed twice and then your phone damaged when they try and rectify their own mistakes then this is the place for you. Alternatively, seek an alternative route.
