Lovely place for families to visit any time but especially summer. Nice play park, pond with ducks and cafe has lovely ice creams. Also when weather is warm there are quiet spots near by where it's safe to have topless sunbathing in peace and quiet, without disturbance Picnic area: Very nice with tables and the porter brook stream running through
Ducklings were adorable ! We love doing this walk from the city 6 mile round trip for us and having a sit down at the Dam. The ice cream is worth it and the staff are lovely. Had a splash in the creek on the way home as well, perfect for hot feeties
A super place to bring the kids. Lovely grass area to let them run about. Clean toilet and great cafe. Picnic tables and lots of benches Playground: Didn't use it. Restrooms: Clean Dog-friendliness: Yes on a lead Picnic area: Lots of space and picnic tables
Street parking. Nice cafe offering inside & outside seating. Toilets. A small children's playgroud. Peaceful walks down to Endcliffe park. Popular with dog walkers. Birds & wildlife to watch out for. Good for people wanting to capture a few photos of kingfishers, herons etc.
Nice walk from Wiremill dam to Forge with a stop at the cafe for something to eat and drink. Nice ice cream for the journey back. If you have children you can enjoy the playground. Playground: Really good slide.
Great cafe. Decent playground for children. Unusually, there are good public toilets here. The dam itself is silted up and some work to fix or at least try and hold back more, is underway.
Cafe just below the Forge Dam. Good food or drinks, to start or finish your walk . Restrooms: At the side of the cafe. Clean and well positioned for your walk. Dog-friendliness: Plenty of open spaces and water for pups.
A well loved place by generations of Sheffielders. A lovely dam surrounded by trees. Loads of wildlife. There is a cafe and toilets. For the younger kids a very nice traditional playground.
Beautiful woodland with path alongside a stream. Lovely cafe with plenty of outdoor seating. Lots of lambs in view today. Really lifts your spirits
Looking good despite council and so called friends mismanaging it for years. Cafe outstanding.
