***Edit **** I see since I posted another 8 reviews have been posted, all positive, all based in the USA. I suspect a ploy to up the scores. No response to my review though . Still wouldn’t use again. Had trusses delivered in August but they don’t fit the roof, on making enquiries as to how Forfar Roof Truss came to their design I received a rude defensive response and the usual non-sense about “you signed off on it”. Firstly, I paid the company to design a roof but they clearly can’t read engineer’s drawing as instead of having my existing roof ridge running East to West they have it in their design going North to South. This had led to us having trusses for a valley that is not in engineer’s drawings £1,500 wasted. Secondly, new trusses have been built with 9” x 2” chords that don’t tie in to existing 6” x 2” joists. Having to pay builders to cut chords down and treble them up with wood that can only be sourced from a truss supplier £1,000 plus contractor’s time. Needless to say, I won’t be buying this additional wood from Forfar Wood Truss Co. Lastly, when you pay for a service you expect it to be correct and it shouldn’t require a lay person to agree to dimensions and angles. Anybody can make a mistake but it is how you correct that mistake that counts. Forfar Roof Truss Co are not willing to work with customers to rectify the situation. Do Not Use!! Other suppliers available in Scotland.
This family owned and operated business is exactly what I needed to get my roof truss! They are reliable, punctual, and a pleasure to work with. I would definitely use them again in the future!

Never write reviews but had to. 2 x trusses short on delivery of trusses for house and no drawing to state size/centre measurements of trusses. Put that aside and ordered again 3 years on for my garage and they did the same thing and tried to defect blame to architect and me. Said they sent information through but could not prove they sent paperwork with sizes and centres for trusses prior to trusses being erected. They also advised after trusses went up that you have to request that information from them. Have no idea why you wouldn't send that when you pay or when trusses are delivered. Backwards company and very unprofessional, must make it up as they go along. Now I have to pay to amend truss layout at my expense. Do not recommend. Would rather pay extra 2k elsewhere.
Provided 10 roof trusses for a garage build in Gamrie. The service was excellent with good communication. The trusses were as specified and delivered on time with no hassles. hats off to the driver that helped to manually offload the trusses Thank you

Used this company for years , they are paid to calculate your roof truss project but on my last project they admitted on the phone that they had made a mistake and the calculations were wrong yet in writing they said i signed the disclaimer so it was down to myself. Their mistake cost me alot of time and money to resolve and no compensation offered. For an established company the treatment of a regular customer was atrocious . BEWARE DO NOT USE !!!!!!!!
