Story

Forest Park Cemetery and Crematorium is beautifully situated overlooking Hainault Forest and offers a peaceful and rural retreat for the people of London and Essex.

Forest Park offers a modern, purpose built crematorium chapel and burial plots overlooking beautiful woodlands. Located opposite to Hainault Country Park on green belt land, Forest Park also provides much needed burial land, including a separate section for Roman Catholics and distinct areas for other community groups.

The spacious and light chapel is built in natural wood and stone, and provides a warm and comforting setting for all types of services. We are able to accommodate both live and recorded music in chapel, and also strive to meet any other requests or give any advice you may require. Video & audio recording in addition to live web-cast facilities are also available.

The memorial gardens offer an attractive, peaceful setting for burial, as well as an ideal area to commemorate your loved one with a memorial.
Privately owned, Forest Park aims to provide an exemplary level of service.

Beautiful place, chapel is very modern, warm and peaceful. Grounds are kept immaculate and Plenty of parking.
The grounds look lovely but would look even better when not seen from behind locked gates. Opening times shown as 8am on website and 9am on another. At 9:30 on a Saturday still locked and cars waiting outside. Can not get to Hainault that often as live 40 miles away. When get there and find this not best pleased. Waited as long as I could and no sign of anyone so left flowers outside gate. Not impressed
Beautiful cemetery, overlooks the forest in places, the grounds are very tidy and neat with lots of greenery and trees. Impressed with the chapel too, its very light and airy and was filled with beautiful flower displays. However, there were far too many funerals queuing up, leaving people from various groups including an obviously sick man in a wheelchair milling about outside on a very cold day. When we came out after the cremation we couldnt work out where our flowers had been put there were so many groups of displays. Understand it's a difficult time right now but found this inappropriate and undignified. Really needs to be managed better with suitable gaps between funerals so it feels less like a conveyor belt.
Went to see my dads name in the book of remembrance today and took my mum as it would have been their 40th wedding anniversary today. Arrived to find the room with the book in it locked and looking through the window could see the book is ready for 5th and 6th July. Had there been any communication about the viewing being unavailable at the weekend we could have made alternative arrangements As it is this place only served to cause distress to myself, mum and family on an already tough day for us. No one answered the calls either. Other gentleman there e hoping to find a grave but no support for him either. Absolutely disgusting and dont blame covid restrictions for your inability to communicate effectively. Thanks for nothing.
Turned up on Christmas day to find the main gate locked shut so at first thought it was closed ? Then saw people in there so drove up to the gate that says exit only. This was open. Parked the car and could not believe that on the busiest day of the year, all the bins were over flowing with dead flowers and people had started to just dump by the side of the bin. Such a shame and very disappointing regarding the cost of the plot we bought.
Thank you for the lovely service. Everything ran smoothly and was performed professionally and on time. Made a difficult time that bit easier. Was provided a nice warm room sheltered from the rain whilst we waited too.
Obviously no one wants to be at a crematorium but I have to say the facilities here are exemplary. The car park is extremely convenient and the hall itself is light and airy. A nice place to say goodby.
Not happy with this cemetery at all. They charged an arm and a leg for a plot near a path. When the path went in, we were absolutely disgusted. The mess of it was a joke, there was cement and mess chucked over my nans grave. They didn't tidy up and the path looks an eyesore. We complained and they've made no effort to do anything about it. We actually had to put dirt around the edging so it looked a little better. The graves are not even in a straight line and the gaps between them look smaller and smaller the more graves go in. Wish we went city if London
I am glad I chose this for my mum it is opposite me forest. we can take the dogs down and think of her being near us. The setting is perfect and so peaceful.
Have been here too many times now. For my father and for David, who was like a second father to me. It is always professional and very well tended. Never been any problems here.
