A great car park? Cental? Clean? Safe? Big Spaces? AND FREE?!?!?nAnd the town centre is packed with independent shops because people can actually get there? Who ever is running these car parks is doing a great place and Ely is luckly to have them.
Bonkers that a car park so close to the centre of town is free. Simply enourages more cars to drive down busy little side street making it less pleasant to walk around. Convenience should come at a cost, a minimum charge of £2 would raise thousands of pounds that would help improve pavements and perhaps even pay for more street cleaners badly needed in central Ely on a busy Saturday.
This is the first time in UK with a huge parking that is free all day after 8:30 am. Definetely will tell friends and well be back to explore this place. Thank you.
My favorite parking in Ely. Free on Sunday, nice short cut to cathedral
Good location to explore the town. Gets very busy though as it offers 4 hours free car park.
