Barton Road Car Park is a FREE long stay car park in Ely that is about a 10 minute walk from the cathedral and the town center.nnThe car park holds I guess around 200 cars and was not so busy when I visited on a weekday around 3pm. There are some restrictions on parking: it is free up to 23 hours a day but vehicles parked between 8am and 8:30am can only stay for 90 minutes. There are also restrictions on parking spots with red lined areas only being available for market traders on market days Thursday and Saturday.nnBut, otherwise, free parking! What's not to like.
Good location, well laid out, clean public toilets. Not enough blue badge spaces. Car park was full but all but one of the electric charging bays were empty, annoying.
good location parking is free which is a big plus. from the car park, we can walk very quickly to the cathedral and the park, a great option to spend time with friends

Free car park tucked away in Barton Road. Nice clean toilets. A bit of a walk into town but a fantastic view of the front of the cathedral on the way
