Lovely place with play facilities, a quiet memorial garden and river walk. Beautiful setting. Only downside, accessibility for mobility scooters very difficult with the type of entrances into the park. Main gate locked. Playground: Seems well equipped Restrooms: Cafe with toilets Dog-friendliness: Good for walking Picnic area: Limited but in a nice spot.
The recreational grounds have a near by Office, recreational area for kids, You can buy a fishing licence for the day in the office 150 yards away from the river. The place is filled with beauty
Beautifully scenic area with a play area, pool although closed till further notice plus drinks and icecream shack. Plenty of space for a family picnic although toilets are closed due to repeated vandalism. Playground: Lots of different section of play areas scattered around, including sand pit, pirate ship and mini trampolines. Skate park round the coning in next field Picnic area: Huge field for picnics and a field next to the river with lots more space and skate park.
Nice playground for children under 10. The park is open to the stream. No dogs allowed although some users ignoring signs and taking dogs in. Cafe serving sandwiches and snacks. Playground: Slides, swings and climbing equipment. 2 small floor trampolines and sandpit. Restrooms: 2 unisex toilets Picnic area: Few picnic benches
A great family place. We enjoyed sitting next to the river watching the wildlife pass us by. Further on, children were playing on the shore splashing around having fun. There is a children's play park and also a skateboard park. A lovely cafe is on the grounds from which we enjoyed a cup of tea and cake. There are toilets on site, but due to the smell and condition I'd only use in an emergency . These really need to be cleaned regularly. So to sum this up, the place is great for the day bit on the downside the toilet facilities let it down.
Great place to take children. Small paddling pool that is shallow, can swim in the river, feed the ducks and fish, go paddleboarding, play in the park and all in the same place. Beautiful surroundings and a kiosk that sells sandwiches, drinks and ice cream. There are also toilets by the kiosk. Parking is reasonably priced opposite the park. Alternatively, you can park by the rugby club for free and walk down. Great day out!
This is one of those places that has many memories for me. I used to come here as a kid and loved it, now my boys are enjoying it, and for the most part it's widely unchanged. Lovely clean park, cafe and safe area for the kids to paddle. We took to some of the deeper parts of the river on the kayak and paddle board. Parking is just accross the road, reasonable prices and no height barrier so we could get our Motorhome in. Many memories have been made here in my 43 years, and I've no doubt there will be many more to come
Beautiful village, the open area was lovely to walk, play park, river that you could get in and enjoy, fishing, feeding the ducks, BBQ area and sports ground. Great for a picnic if you don't mind being surrounded by ducks. Parking across the road wasn't too expensive.
Beautiful outdoor space with river and a fenced paddle pool. Has a tuck shop for tea, coffee ,cold drinks, snacks and not forgetting Ice cream , there are local shops just a couple of minutes walk away if you require other food or even inflatables from the gift shops . Situated next to a skate park for the older kids . Perfect for a day out with pic nic. Car park opposite playing field which is roughly a £ an hour ,not huge so get there early for a full days fun playing ,paddling and feeding the ducks .
What a lovely park, it is on the banks of a river teaming with bird life, with a really nice playground for children. There is a very shallow spot where children paddle in the summer. A tearoom and toilets are very handy as well. A skate board area and sports grounds with open areas to walk dogs is advantageous!
