Brilliant service — Sarah was so helpful with choosing new hiking boots. Clearly the staff here are very knowledgable and they offer great, honest advice. They went at length checking all the different options for my fit and were transparent about how long it would take to order shoes that were out of stock. 10/10 recommend!
Excellent service here. It's been my first choice for hiking boots since they opened in 1994 and have just bought my third pair from them. They spend a lot of time making sure you get the right size, but then offer a size guarantee that means if you find they are the wrong size after a few weeks you get a full refund. Assuming you haven't trashed them off course! And of course, being outdoor people, they are all very nice and friendly. Thoroughly recommend for that personal service feeling.
Foothills was recommended to me by a friend as I needed a pair of hiking boots. As a person who has been doing their shopping predominantly online, I was somewhat skeptical about coming in, let alone making an advance appointment. I must say, how wrong I was! My feet were elaborately measured in the shop and I realised that a pair of well-known brand boots I had my eye on in an online shop was the wrong fit for me. There is so much more to it rather than knowing your feet' size. I was taught how to look after my new boots to ensure they could be re-soled in a couple of years. These people converted me into an in-store shopper when it comes to footwear. A special thanks to Moses who helped me find my perfect pair and made my customer experience excellent.

I recently visited Foothills as I wanted some walking boots for wide feet. I was nervous, as i find getting shoes to fit my feet really hard, but Dougie that helped me was excellent! He was so helpful, especially when i was vague about what kind of boot i wanted. He talked me through all the options and managed to find me the most comfortable pair of boots ive ever walked in. Thanks again Dougie for patience and knowledge and I’ll definitely be back if i need anything in the future.
Excellent service and knowledge from the staff. If you are going to buy a new set of walking boot this is the place. They will measure your feet for accurate sizing, including width and any other features that will effect fitting. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, we had a young gentleman called Tom I believe who held our hand through all the decision making and didn't patronise or take advantage of our lack of knowledge. Best choice in every sense.
Fantastic service! Went in for new boots on the recommendation of a friend. Was not disappointed. I have awkward size feet with high arches and have always struggled to get boots that fit. After an hour of amazing fitting advice, trying 5 pairs of boots, changing laces, trying different insoles and advice on a lacing technique to better suit my foot, I walked out with the best fitting footwear I've ever owned! Huge thanks to Moses!
