I do not live locally to West Bridgford so I chose this florist from the internet. The lady I spoke to on the phone was most helpful and the flowers were just what I wanted and delivered on the day I ask for. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.
Elizabeth was so lovely to talk to, and extremely helpful in accomodating our family flowers for mums funeral. Dad's flowers were a traditional red rose display, where my sister and I wanted a hand tied bouquets. Elizabeth was very understanding and as you would expect, very knowledgeable. On the day of the funeral we were amazed at the beautiful displays, the care and attention Elizabeth had gone to. The roses were particularly beautiful and gave mum a beautiful send off. I've asked the florist Elizabeth to give advice and helped with arranging a special unique bouquet for my daughter's 21st birthday. She has been wonderful with her suggestions and accommodating with my requests. My daughter is so happy when she received it. She was delighted with the choices of flowers n the flower arrangement. I'll definitely go back to her in the future.
Appalling customer service I was sent a bouquet for my birthday and knowing Elizabeth's prices was disappointed by the quality of the roses. They were browning and battered. I emailed Elizabeth who sent a long and incredibly patronizing reply telling me that that is what they are meant to be like. When I replied she threw her toys out of the pram, not I'm sorry you are not happy, no acknowledgment that perhaps ,just perhaps I was right and I will replace them, give you a credit towards a later purchase but a "PUT THEM ON YOUR DOORSTEP NOW FOR ME TO TAKE BACK " I asked her to wait as I was on an important conference call which she ignored, came hammering on the door and was then rude to my husband and daughter. Wow!! Where to start with Liz. The attention to detail this lady can produce is outstanding. She really made the day when it came to my daughter's christening and was ready at the other end of the phone when we needed her. A* for customer service here. Elizabeth is a gem and my little Molly's venue looked stunning thanks to her floral arrangements. Strongly recommend.
Beautiful fresh flowers that lasted far longer than I expected. The customer service I experienced was excellent. Liz was very friendly and knowledgeable. What a fantastic local business.
Screaming insults at pregnant women and their 2yr-olds! After ordering flowers from Elizabeth McKenna for years, I will never purchase products from her again after the aggressive and demeaning way she spoke to my pregnant wife in front of our two-year old daughter. We wanted to purchase a bouquet of flowers for my mother-in-law's birthday and arranged for the flowers to be delivered at 2:30pm so we could drive to see her, leaving at 3:30. After getting no response, by phone or email, at 3:40 we decided to forget the flowers for Nana's birthday and get in the car. Elizabeth showed up just as my wife was getting our daughter strapped in. My wife said that we had been waiting for the flowers to arrive. This comment was met with a deluge of anger from Elizabeth whose shouting I could hear from inside our house; "I've been doing a funeral today", "I'm trying to run a small business", "you're just another one of those West Bridgford wives", "it's all about me, me, me, me!" Now I'm no Alan Sugar, but a few things have occurred to me since the exchange; 1 We knew you were arranging a funeral that morning; that is why we arranged for you to drop off the flowers later... to accommodate your other business obligations 2 If you do not have the capacity to deliver flowers then say so... clients are understanding and will come to collect them, just don't agree to something you can't do 3 If you are trying to run a small business then using one of your major client bases "West Bridgford wives" as an insult is probably the wrong way to go 4 Shouting at pregnant women and their little girls in the street until they cry is not a good look... flowers only last a few days, I wish that was all we would remember you for.
I have used Elizabeth McKenna flowers for many years now, for special occasions she did the flowers for my 40th birthday, for gifts but also for everyday flowers for me! The quality of her flowers is outstanding and her creations are faultlessly elegant.
