We decided to dine in on our last day of hotel stay at the Park Plaza Waterloo where Restaurant was located. It was our anniversary dinner before heading to Paris. Service was Terrible. Waitress didn’t know about menu. When asked about the Chicken Milanese, she says it’s fried chicken. When asked what ruse comes on the plate, she says just chicken. We ordered extra broccoli. Wife had chicken salad. When plays arrived, it had small portion of salad and tomatoes. Food was over salted, dry. Had to ask several times for water. Make host was rude. Staff seemed unfriendly. Never say my original waitress. My wife salad was ok for a salad. Twice, they kept bringing other people’s orders to our table. They were not busy at that time. A lot of confusion. Terrible food. Terrible service. This was on April 12 at 5:06 on.
First was server - very rude tone to begin with as she seated us . Had ordered lemonade with no ice , she got ice in glass n poured the drink , when I told her I did not want ice , she questioned why I don’t want ice n got very defensive. Than she got a another glass with lemonade , I told her she had poured the other drink from bottle in front of us so I want her to get a bottle so I know what I am being served . Now she got really rude. So I told her I need either another server or I leave . I got Jayne as my server- very nice girl , she really tried to make our dinner more enjoyable. But it had already ruined our mood . Food options are very limited n bland tasting Would not recommend this place for price you pay
Very limited menu and even then, there were items on the menu they didn't have when I ordered. Food was mediocre at best and the pizza was terrible, I've had better at cheap takeaways. 12% 'optional' service charge automatically added to your bill, when I asked for this to be removed I dined alone, ordered 2 things and a drink, there wasn't much service to do, the waitress looked affronted and asked whether there was anything wrong. There wasn't with the service, I just don't like being charged for no good reason. I'll be looking elsewhere for the rest of my 3 week stay in London.
I was invited to a birthday lunch and I was amazed by the atmosphere, the food, and the service. we ordered 2 salads and the biggest burger in London which came with a candle and we sang "happy birthday" to our friend. This is a massive piece of culinary excellence. 6 of us couldn't manage it. Barry was the person looking after us and he did way better than the average service you usually get at a restaurant from this category. Very polite and friendly. Attentive and helpful. Definitely recommend
Terrible service. We received our appetizers before even receiving the drinks. Kitchen staff were top notch but the service just wasn’t there. Had to chase down the host just to get served. Waiters were inexperienced and had terrible attitudes.
Florentine is an all-day dining brasserie-style restaurant in Waterloo and boy is it a top restaurant well worth your time. With a pan-European menu, it has slick interiors in low-lit settings that provides an intimate atmosphere. It's comfy as heck and great for groups as well as loved-up pairs. The food was fantastic. The rib-eye steak was meat perfection - juicy and just the way I like it. The tiramisu and Venetian doughnuts were also a sweet success. The outstanding item on the menu was the ravioli. It's just smothered in this incredibly buttery sauce with shavings of truffles that took it up a level. Noise level is generally kept to a minimum which allows for meaningful conversations to flow. Service was fabulous too. Receptionists are so welcoming and waiters are very attentive making sure your glass is always full. It's perfect for dates or to celebrate a special occasion think birthdays. You won't regret coming to Florentine.
We stayed in the hotel, which is quite luxurieus, but the restaurant is that not at all. We ordered 2 courses; the first course arrived before our drinks, and the second before we finished our 1st. After that we wanted to order dessert and drinks, but after asking for the menu when someone of the staff finally came to clear our 2 rounds of dishes, they never came back. Service beneath al levels. Food was also bad. Veal milanese really dry, and no sauce or even with the dries. Pizza really fat and tasteless. Manager complains to guests about being sick self and having sick staff only positive is that we get the one round drinks for free because of bad service.
Cozy place and excellent choice for brunch really tasty dishes. However, a bit overpriced, they should include the bread with some of their starters and offer tap water instead of charging extra bottles
The food wasn’t good at all I ordered The Beef Burger in McDonald’s you can get a better one and you don’t have to wait 30min for your food.
Before the pandemic, operating under its previous management, it was a great restaurant with a nice ambience. Nowadays it’s a rip off. About the quality of the food let’s not even discuss about it…
