Been here twice. First time was many months ago and then it was a quick visit for beans. This weekend I did my second visit and it’s mixed feelings. I don’t understand the weird table that is still in the middle of the door. You have to wait kinda awkwardly half inside half outside. I think I might been unlucky due to only one person working this day, super stressed and kinda rude. The coffee it self was a bit too sour for my taste. But I had a nice moment in the sun in one of the nice beach chairs. Those I really like!
Any coffee connoisseurs would mention Nude as an obligatory stop in the area. Beans are even more convenient than online as you'll get a free coffee on the house. Prices are higher than competitors 12-14 pounds/250g for the 2 espresso options but competent baristas will help you choose the right one for you. Since the pandemic it's mostly for takeaway/shop, counter is very small so I wouldn't pop for a drink in.
Best coffee in London. True story. The owner is a super nice Italian guy. They are according to Nude Coffee the only roastery that roasts from Green Beans. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Superb tasting coffee. Oh, and they make their own beer too.
Got myself an iced oat latte for £3.50. It’s a bit too acidic for my liking, but i still enjoyed my coffee. overall a great experience, friendly barista as well. thank you.
This is not what I would expect from a coffee roastery in Brick Lane, I am really disappointed. We stopped by to have a take-away coffee. The front-man there suggested to buy a 250g bag of their signature roast, and we thought, "how bad can it be?", falling into the roastery hipster trap. We drank Oatmilk flat white. It was one of the worst coffees I ever had, we literally poured the coffee in a sewer. The whole coffee tasted sour and we thought it was oat milk gone bad at the time. We tried the same coffee speciality "East Blend" at home with our machine "De'Longhi La Specialista", we tuned the pressure as well to make the right extraction. It was sour again, you could not drink an espresso or a cappuccino. After insisting and trying a couple of different coffees, we threw the coffee beans away as well. Cannot drink it. I'm sorry to be so harsh, but I would not go back again.
Amazing place and the coffee was wonderful. It was the East Blend and I loved it so much I bought some. The little cakes were fresh and tasted home made and I think they do bake their own cakes at another location.
Good coffee, friendly staff, but beans at £14 for 250g is agonisingly expensive they offer a 'free' coffee with the purchase to justify the expense. Note they never tell you the price as they're probably used to a dramatic comeback! I should have asked, I guess. Consider you've got options Climpson etc close by too.
the 25th Spot: Nude Coffee Roasters sip a cup of coffee, take some breath and relax for a while.
I love the Nude roast but the coffee crafting is SO appaling. How can a latte be 1/3 foam?! That's more frothy than a Cappucino! £3.50 for a bonsoy latte - which is technically the size of a flat white - absolutely T I N Y. Loud music which is for a very specific taste.
Great coffee spot with plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs and a friendly service. The coffee serves mainly beans roasted just across the road at the Nude Roastery which has been operating since 2008. Coffee is smooth and nutty espresso blend and the milk is from a local diary and produced specifically for baristas. Expect to pay around £3 for a 8oz latte which is pretty standard in London. Max size is 8oz. There’s a good selection of pastries and vegetarian salads too.
