Always a pleasure to stay here. Lovely rooms. Comfortable, stylish and spacious. Lovely welcome. Amazing location. Scrumptious breakfast.Rooms: 5/5
First of all it is important to note that this is not a 4 star hotel as indicated. The hotel staff admitted that it is not rated like other hotels according to the star system. Even though the rates are similar to 4 stars, facilities & amenities & breakfast are rather 3 stars. The room was clean & spacious but the bathroom had no mirror except the tiny 18cm round one. Regarding the bed I was surprised to learn that British King size is actually what I know as Queen size. To sum it up this hotel, despite its kind & accommodating staff, is not up to 4 star standards. So if it is what you expect be ready to feel disappointed.
Great boutique hotel. Not luxurious yet, spotlessly clean with excellent customer service. Super comfy bed. And, the best hotel breakfast I've eaten in a long time. Superb location in the heart of Southsea and so close to the seafront. Cannot wait to stay again.Rooms: 4/5
Lovely stay start to finish, from the second we arrived. Very helpful staff and friendly - going that extra mile. Lovely rooms, clean, comfortable and well decorated, great location. The breakfast was delicious and great service. Cannot fault anything about this hotel. We don't live far away, but would love to stay here more. Thank you for such a pleasant experience. Highly recommend.
Fantastic place with superb service. Stayed her in september for anniversary. Mirella at reception and Mia waitress had superb customer service skills. Very welcoming and helpful. Dog friendly to. Great food and service here we would return.Rooms: 4/5
Stayed here a few times now and we can't fault it. The whole hotel is clear and well maintained. The welcome is warm and individual, the staff are all polite and helpful. Rooms: Every room we have had has been lovely and well maintained. The facilities are good and the bed very comfortable. Food & drinks: We only had breakfast here but it was good and very good value for money Noteworthy details: Some of the rooms are in separate buildings but only next door or over the road.
Small hotel tucked just off the main seafront. Room was nice and staff were friendly. Good breakfast. Only challenge was finding parking. They had a few spaces but then the offer was on street parking with a permit. We couldn't find any space at the weekend we visited so had to pay for parking on a nearby car park. It was fine but did mean a slightly longer walk to the hotel for us.
Beautifully fitted warm room with powerful shower and super comfy bed. Breakfast was superb and the staff were lovely, professional and friendly. We arrived late after a rough ferry crossing and the lovely owner was out in the rain to show our off road parking space. All this and dog friendly 10/10Rooms: 5/5
Excellent service, outstanding kitchen. Very attentive and helpful reception staff and waiters. Food delicious, fresh and well cooked. Beautiful garden for meals. Well done. Only one negative thing, the cleaning was poor,we found previous' occupant belongings under the bed. The bed was not comfortable and bathroom very poor. Tiny shower cubicle,and the bath tub is just dangerous, no handles nor rubber mat. Almost impossible to get out of the tub.
Hotel is well situated, a few meters from the sea, shore is accessible by walking less than 5 minutes. Room have big bed with lot of space and was perfectly clean in a typical classic English style. The shower was a little bit small, but still good. Some rooms of the hotel are located in other building around the main one, be careful if you are booking multiple chambers. Breakfast is not a buffet, you have to choose your dish between different kind of English ones.
