This is worth every penny. If you have 4-5 hours spare and you like planes and history this is a place to go. The staff are loverly very helpful. You can get up close to most planes with a few clever experiences to explore. I have trouble with mobility but almost everything is possible to see. Wheelchair no problem. There is a restaurant just outside very helpful not bad prices, and you can go back into the museum. I would recommend this to anybody. Well done to all the staff .

Really interesting to see the history and some unique looking aircraft. I took a 2 & a 4 year old, probably slightly young to get the most out of it but they still enjoyed investigating. Seeing the old biplanes and old helicopters was really great. They also have a viewing area out onto the base itself so if you're lucky you may see some helicopters taking off or landing. The only issue is outside the museum where the access road meets the a303. We had to turn right, like most people, it took about 20 mins to go about 100 yards to the intersection and people don't slow down coming down the hill.

Great museum! Visited it on numerous occasions and never been disappointed. Have always found it very interesting and worth the visit. It is a great experience for a family day out or a school trip as there are so many things to see in the museum and the staff are very helpful. The aircraft carrier experience is a must. It is very well set up and gives a realistic experience to life on a carrier.

This was the third time I've been here, first time was as a child. I brought my 10 year old daughter with me this time and she loved it. The carrier deck exhibition (Hall 3) is by far the best bit. The way you enter is very cleverly done, and the "on deck" experience is brilliant. The island tour it's fascinating too. Great value for money, fascinating exhibits.

Great exhibits, some seemingly missing but great overall. A wealth of information. Carrier sim a fun addition. Probably avoid eating in the cafe, food was basic at best. But i didn't go for the culinary delights.
