Fisherman’s cottage was a delight. Super close to all amenities and the sea!. My husband and I did visit out of season so it was quieter and easier to park in and around town. There is parking however outside the cottage which is really convenient. The cottage itself felt cosy, very much a home from home. There is the added benefit of a fabulous log burner in a very comfortable lounge which was wonderful in the evenings. The kitchen was well laid out and well equipped with pretty much everything needed for making dinner. It was also clean and bright. At the end of the kitchen there was a small utility area and a downstairs loo we appreciated that after a glass of vino! A lovely large deck could be accessed just via a side door off the kitchen which gave views across town and of the sea! We took board games with us but we’re surprised to find that was covered too. So plenty to keep you occupied. There was also a music system if you fancied it. The bathroom was spacious, clean and bright and the shower was super powerful which really makes a difference after a dip yes! Swimming in November, why not! The bedrooms were simple and cottagy not sure that’s a word but you get my drift Nightstands with little bedside lights made it really cosy and there was plenty of cupboard and draw space for putting things away. It was incredibly quiet and peaceful during our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Danny our host was very responsive and communicated with us throughout which was reassuring. We would definitely recommend and will be returning. Oh… and the wine and biscuits awaiting our arrival were a lovely touch.
Fisherman’s Cottage is wonderfully located in St Mawes. Just a very short stroll takes you to the beach and harbour. The cottage is superbly appointed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here and are looking to returning next year.
Amazing cottage! We have been staying in St Mawes for over 20 years at various places and this is definitely our favourite discovery we had already booked again for next year before we had left! Fishermans Cottage is really well equipped, clean and amazingly located really near family who live in St Mawes and Dan, the owner, was available straught away to help when we had a query. Brilliant!
My family and I stayed here for a week. The cottage is situated very close to the centre of the town so very convenient. A short walk to the beach. The house was lovely and light and the owners had everything organised beautifully. Would highly recommend
