We had such good recommendations for this place, sadly on the day they didn't live up to expectation. The scallop that my partner had was very greasy all batter nearly with the thinnest slither of potatoe making the briefest of appearances. The gravy we had with the chips was a little weak and lacking in flavour.

However the chips were well cooked just right in texture however the frying oil tasted a little old. I'm hoping it was just an off day. We will try there again as we always give somewhere two attempts

Today I arrived at 3.50 to the fish and chip shop in a snow blizzard with my children. I am quiet happy they don't serve till 4pm but you would think from a customer service point of view they would open the door and let you stand out of the cold and snow. Instead they just looked at us so I walked away from this fish and chip shop .  I will not be buying from here if basic customer service is beyond them .

I'm not particularly a fan of fish and chips, but their chips are tasty and drained well. They have plenty of great tasting accompaniments, whether it's fish, patties, sausage, etc. they're all tasty. Obviously, they choose the best products to use, and it shows. I need to be careful, they could make me a fan 😀
