Gone for three stars because I enjoyed myself, not because fibbers is great. Got up close with electric six who were awesome, intimate venue means you can really see the acts. Diet coke, kids size plastic cup, flat as a fart, £2.25. deliberately went through n toilets whilst the place was empty, I doubt they were cleaned from night before and stench made me almost throw up, also in disrepair, hole in wall for eg. God knows what state they were in later. For the band though, E6 were great, sounded great and played hard.

I visit Fibbers 5-10 times a year to see bands. Best small music venue in York. Wide range of music styles, particularly rock which is my personal music of choice. Good sound and easy to get a good view unless its totally rammed. Ticket prices usually reasonable unless its a major artist (usually on their way back down!). Variety of drinks available from the bar, usual high price as expected but what can you do.

A bit shabby but a lively and popular club, choices in the types of music you may want to dance to with three dance floors, large Stein beers to be bought if you want to really want to enter into the heavy drinking. Not a high class standard of dress required, most wore jeans and trainers. We got free entrance tickets from a couple giving them out on the street close by, they are worth finding to save you some money.

Great venue which attracts the best touring mid sized club bands and regular local talent nights. Nice sounding, maybe a little too loud, PA delivering crisp sound. My first visit since the club moved from its old location and I found it much improved. Bigger and more open from the small dark dingy club of old. Friendly security staff, attentive barstaff and lots of room with a nice sized dancefloor/moshpit. I'll look forwards to going again.

Normally isn't the best club but the monthly lip sync lalaopolusa is spectacular
