Highly recommend this establishment We came to this establishment as we were passing through the area. Great choice of food exceptional menu and prices. Great choice of wines spirits and beers. The establishment is dog friendly and provides dog treats dog paw washing facilities, great local walking places for humans and dogs. They do doggy tea afternoons and doggy breakfast days. The staff member Steph was exceptionally helpful friendly and informative. The management should be proud of her for reflecting the professional standards you will get here. Clean friendly warm and welcoming. I live 30 miles away but will be visiting again. And big thanks to the chef for the great food...
Really good location, good distance from the road to sit outside, visited on a Wednesday at 3pm, not many people in, I ordered the ribeye steak which was excellent, service was good with the meal coming soon after ordering...well worth a visit for a meal through out the day or just a drink outside...
Lovely character pub, staff were friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend and would go again
Lovely pub, tasty food , great staff, beautiful building, nice location. Really great lunch there. Highly recommended.
Easy to find and easy to park, we enjoyed the music before entering the pub. The decor was bright and rustic, and there was plenty of space inside. Service was good, though not a great selection of beers on offer. Food came out quickly and was to a very good standard. Staff were polite and friendly.
Had hunters chicken for £15, looked like a child's meal when it come, I would guess this should be normally be about £8.99 anywhere else. Chicken, small bit of salad and about 12 chips. The picture makes it look a lot bigger than it was.. Don't think I'll stop there again..sorry.
Had a lovely evening here. Spent a good few hours here, had 3 courses and cocktails and all were delicious. we never felt rushed and the staff were very friendly. They had board games there that would keep children and big kids busy. The pub is surprisingly large and is deceiving from the outside. There is a kids play area for good weather days with the family. I would highly recommend and will return
We visited for our 49th wedding anniversary lunch. The staff as ever where polite & friendly. The meal was lovely. The downside was the staff where run off there feet trying to serve drinks, meals & keeping the plates spinning. A large group of walkers where in, all paid separately & half couldn’t make there mind up. Even so the young waitress was efficient & didn’t stop running about. We will give it another try hopefully you’ll have sufficient staff
We arrived having not booked a table . We were greeted with a smile and taken to a table. Ours drinks arrived promptly and food order taken. The food was hot and tasty. Becky table checked us and was very polite throughout our visit . Overall a very nice experience and we will be back.
Just landed home from long weekend in Spain with the girls & what a perfect way to finish our holiday. Food was lovely & staff were great. Pub was a little cold but you did have an engineer in there working on the heating so hopefully won’t be the same next time
