One of the most popular colleges in Pune. Ferguson College of well known as FC is a college made during British reign and hence follow the architecture as well. The old stone building is very popular structure and holds strong pride. Many courses are available here right from the Junior college to PhD. The campus is very well known as well that host many activities for it's students. The campus is also big and has many departments that are scattered around the main building.
This is one of well known colleges in Indian.It has its own pride. Various courses are available here from junior college to PhD.Teaching and non-teaching staff behave very helpfully towards students. Campus environment is always peaceful.Up-to-date practical labs , grounds for various sports are available here .Fests and functions arranged by college gives amazing experience for students.College offers hostel for distant students.
You are in Pune and didn't visit Fergusson college, you missed one point in History. It's historical college and a moment for Ferguson college present and past student. Its bit packed with buildings now but still feel historic moments in this campus. You will find many well known name associated with this campus. You will find young crowd on this road and many new and old restaurants.
This is one of the oldest and the best institution in Pune and the country. The history of this college is noteworthy. This college was founded by the freedom fighters of India and this college has produced many influential leaders from its beginning. This college has also produced 2 prime ministers of India, and has noteworthy alumni. The campus is HUGE, one of the best in the city, and very building has a rich history and the architecture also is very historic but maintained well. Every department head is very highly qualified, most of the faculty here are PhD holders. Students here are very competitive, students who aspire to do civil services, also come here. The NCC in this campus is very good. Overall, a very good campus to study in. The Campus is located in a very happening place in the city, filled with street shopping and street food. You'd love this place.
FC only! The college is named after Scottish-born Sir James Fergusson, the Governor of Bombay, who donated Rs 1,200. Since 1948, the college has been under the jurisdiction of the University of Pune. In May 2018 Fergusson college was upgraded to a unitary university following an update from Ministry of HRD.[2] The college has two sections: The Junior Wing junior college is for students graduating from school. Courses are offered in Arts and Science streams, at the end of which students may appear for the Higher-Secondary State Certificate examination. The Senior Wing offers bachelor's degrees in 29 disciplines and master's degrees in 16 disciplines. Fergusson College is known for its close association with Indian politics. Its founders were pioneers of the Indian National Congress,[9] as well as, Indian Socialist Movement.[10] The college has produced, several ministers and legislators, including two Indian Prime Ministers.[11][12
