My 10 year old son received a junior experience as a birthday gift and we booked up for May. My son absolutely loved his time there and would love to go back. The staff were all very welcoming and would highly recommend it.

Amazing place for the kids to learn about birds of prey. We had our daughter's birthday party there and all the children loved it. Sadie is amazing with children and you can tell how much she loves and cares for all the animals there.

The falconry is compact yet fascinating with their displays that are accessible to non specialists and the public. It gives the sense that the aviary area is the holding for the birds but open to the public. There are some interactive bits too, but it seems the handling and visits are the focus of the business really. The centre itself is free to visit. The bit that really lets the garden centre down (that the centre is located in) are the portacabin toilets. Wet, unhygienic and small. Not adult friendly, let alone child friendly.

The reptile shop is well stocked and if they don't have what you want they will try and get it for you. I've bought several reptiles from them: they are beautiful well cared for. The live food always looks healthy and lasts well. The staff and friendly and helpful. I have even booked my reptiles in to their boarding facility for when I go away.

If you are intested in birds of prey this is the place to go. A variety of well looked after birds and chicks. Small venue attached to garden center so you can have a stroll. Owne does provide events so check out website.
