Story

Favourite Beers opened on Friday 8th October 2010 as the only specialist Beer and Cider outlet in Gloucestershire. It has quickly established itself as the regional centre for beer and cider lovers from a much larger region. Their recent installation of ten craft keg taps and regular Friday Evening beer clubs has seen it also become one of the trendiest places to drink I the area.

Owner Leigh Norwood, has been passionate about beer for many years and is determined to spread the word (and the taste) of the excellent bottled beers and ciders that are now available from a host of breweries and producers up and down the country.
Favourite Beers has an ever changing range of over 400 UK bottled ales (Many bottle conditioned), over 120 Ciders and Perrys (now in draft as well as bottles), a large range of international beers featuring over 120 bottled beers from Belgium and an expanding range of excellent German and US beers. We also carry a range of English country and fruit wines and meads.

The range of UK ales permanently features a growing number from breweries within our region and this is supplemented by an ever changing selection from around the country. Leigh tries to add beers from at least three new Breweries a month – often featuring a particular area of the country.

Our beers are available to buy individually or in bulk (we offer generous discounts including discounts for card carrying CAMRA members) and we also have a number of gift package options (ideal for presents – as are our Gift vouchers).

We always welcome requests to source our customer’s “Favourite Beers” and have so far been very successful in tracking down some very elusive beers.

Finally, we regularly host in-store events including ‘Tutored Tasting Evenings’ and ‘Meet The Brewer’ events.
