We had furniture delivered today and the men who came were amazing very polite and courteous and went out of their way to be helpful as we are older and disabled we often get treated like second class citizens especially by delivery guys. These two are a credit to your staff please pass our thanks on to them.
I bought a wardrobe from here for £250 for my daughter. It had quite a few scratches which is the case for most of the furniture hence why they are marked down but I thought these could be painted over so was happy to pay the £250. The wardrobe was taken down by the shop and flat packed. When we started building the wardrobe we noticed a massive crack on the inside. I was gutted so I took a picture of it and took it to the store expecting either some money back or a full refund as the crack had not been there when I purchased the wardrobe myself and my mother closely inspected it before it was purchased so must have been done when the wardrobe was taken down and flat packed. I agreed to have an employee of the shop come and look at the crack to make a decision on what to do. He was very kind and could see why I was upset about it but after not hearing anything from the shop I chased them and was told the crack was tiny and was covered by shelf which was not the case. It looks like someone had taken a swing at it with a hammer and is not even slightly hidden by the shelf! I spoke to a lady who worked there about 5 times not once getting to speak to the manager and was finally offered a £25 store credit! I refused and was told I would not be allowed a full refund which is ridiculous seeing as they damaged my wardrobe and surely illegal if I wasn't told this when I purchased the item! I'll certainly be taking this further. Be very wary if you purchase furniture from here, if you do try to take it home as it is as you cannot guarantee the condition you will receive it in and certainly won't be offered any money back!!
Just been into store to see if they have a certain item which they did but it was out the back. I said I’d take it but then they priced it up £50 more than the exact same colours available for £150 undamaged which I have photos of. I asked if they would at least throw in delivery which is an extra £20 even though they were taking the p*** out of me by charging £50 more for the exact same item. I said the last time I bought something it arrived damaged more than it was to begin with but they didn’t care. Some blonde middle aged woman was so obnoxious about it so out of principle I left, I’d rather pay full retail knowing how much it costs rather than getting screwed over price when you can see how much they charge for it anyway. It was only because I asked if they had the certain colour they thought they had a sale and could take advantage, but I walked away which they were surprised over. Don’t get mugged off, avoid.
Hit & miss; both products and customer service... I can't deny that this warehouse has allowed me to make a massive saving by filling my living room with great furniture at bargain prices, and for that, I love this place. The clothing is low priced too which is a bonus. However, there have been some days when I walked in to browse and there was nothing appealing. If it's your first time visiting, bear that in mind and be prepared to return to find that amazing item. The staff here are also hit and miss. Some of them are lovely whereas others have an attitude and seem unapproachable. One member of staff in particular even came across a little prejudice towards my foreign family from abroad. What she said was rude and her tone was so unwelcoming that it puts me off going back again.
