I love this place - the gym is one of the best I’ve used in recent years and the instructors really helpful. A special shout out to Emma who runs the aerobics and dance classes. She is brilliant- always pushing us with new routines and moves - that takes alot of work and effort behind the scenes - thank you Emma
Centre itself is good; the staff are nice and very helpful. Swim teachers are absolutely excellent.nnCafe presumably “outsourced” is always a state unfortunately. I go to watch my nephew swimming once a week and the tables and floors are always filthy and covered in dirty plates/cups etc even when it’s quiet; floor covered in mess and food scraps which is hard to keep the one-year-old away from.nnHad to smile to myself during this week’s lesson when the lady at the cafe counter was bemoaning her lack of a pay rise!nnAll in all though a good and well-organised centre - massive shame they got rid of the squash courts as there’s nowhere particularly local for a pedestrian to play - looking forward to trying out the forthcoming padel courts however.
Appalling booking system for the swimming pool. Never any availability on the not fit for purpose online booking system - will say all the lanes are fully booked yet when you enter the general swimming area these same lanes are all but empty - draconian staff still refuse to let you into these empty lanes because 'you're not on the list'. Unpleasant experience with zero common sense applied
My main fitness center but it does get busy at times.nHas all the gadgets and equipment you could requirenWeekend events can cause a lack of parkingnAfter work it is also busy, school kids can be a pain at times.
Come here regularly for swimming sessions with my wife and step son.nThe entry to the pool is easy however the family changing facilities seem to always smell like urine, possibly not cleaned enough considering the following..nThe pool itself is pretty filthy. Last week I noticed the clumps of dirt and debris underneath the lifeguard station and today noticed slime and grime buildup on the opposite side of the pool. Surely it should be swept or cleaned daily considering the high volumes of customers?nYou wouldn't eat it in a restaurant that wasn't clean so why swim somewhere where dirt and grime is being washed into the pool?nnGosport is much cleaner.
