Nice small station - clean and tidy with good facilities
Confused with the parking instructions about where to pay as I didn’t see signs about paying by machine, found out you use the same machine as buying a train ticket, gives an hourly rate but on the machine doesn’t allow too pay for hourly had to pay for a days parking instead. I have a blue badge there wasn’t much information about the rules around this either, you get 20 minutes free was told by train staff after enquiring I was waiting for a friend on a train, I got there early so I was going over the 20 minute free parking. The staff in the station was very helpful and friendly was talking to a lovely lady on the barrier whilst waiting for my friend. I was told to register my badge on line but it was bad reception and couldn’t do it there and then but now I now it’s done
Fairly well maintained but difficult to find out info with no staff
At the station half nine on a Sunday evening. Waiting room is closed though lights on. Presumably they know people take the train outside of business hours?
Fareham is a busy station with routes to London, Portsmouth, Brighton, Bristol and a few London airports. Small shop as you enter the station selling expensive food and drink, use if desperate. There are a few toilets on both sides of the bridge, but at least one of them is always broken throughout the year. To access the other side you can use the two foot bridges or the lift at the end of the platform. Nice waiting area with a screen on one platform which makes commuting a little more enjoyable.
