What a fantastic wedding venue. Lovely setting in a modern glazed extension and several other rooms with exclusive use for the wedding party. Modern interior with huge bedrooms for guests staying over. Amazing service from all the staff! The food was also stunning! Cannot find any fault with this venue.

Absolutely beautiful reception area and lounge with gorgeous grounds. Food was divine, delicious selection of vegetarian delights. 

We visited the venue after 2 phonecalls to check if the site was accessible with a wheelchair. I was told on both occasions access was suitable; there was disabled toilet access in the ladies only (not mens, but that they would close the ladies if we needed to go in there). 

On arrival the message hadn't been passed to staff that I would be visiting with a wheelchair. A second person in a wheelchair was already stuck out the front, falling out of their chair and trying to be forced through the very large stones (not gravel) to get to the front door.

As an old manor house the front mat indent is still evident and both wheelchairs got stuck on the metal surround. Something a thick new raffia mat would correct. 

The room we were visiting was up a few thin steep steps. It took 4 members of staff and 2 very bad thin metal ramps (that required constant manoeuvring) to get the chair up. The wheelchair was almost laying backwards and I was petrified.

This was my first outing with the chair and it was dreadful.

The gentleman on the bar as you enter was kind, obliging, caring and very professional. He is an asset. I'm only sorry the rest of my visit left a less favourable memory.
