As I am regular ‘Ember Inns’ visitor I popped into ‘The Fairfield Arms’ recently for breakfast.nnI was greeted with a smile and a friendly welcome, throughout my visit I received great service.nnThe food was freshly prepared and tasted great nnIt’s definitely one to visit if your in the local area
We’ve been coming in regularly over the past few weeks. We’ve really enjoyed the new pub quiz format on Wednesdays and I also had a great steak and ale pie with creamy mash and veg.nStaff are lovely and very friendly.nWould recommend trying it out!
We enjoyed a Sunday roast here yesterday. The three meats meal was delicious, and flavoursome and delivered by the friendly staff. We also appreciated the children’s meal being brought out before ours so we could feed baby first. Always a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.
We’re absolutely appalled by the experience we had today for what was meant to be a special, pre-booked birthday meal for my husband and our 19th wedding anniversary,Despite booking in advance, 2 weeksthe service and food were completely unacceptable.nnThere were no burger buns, so we were given muffins instead — which is ridiculous and inexcusable for any restaurant. The steak was served practically raw, and to top it off, the pie that was specifically requested wasn’t even available.nnThis ruined what should have been an enjoyable celebration. The lack of preparation and basic standards is shocking. We won’t be returning, and I’ll be making others aware of how poor this experience was.
The new land lady who has taken over made changes to allow dogs in one area of the pub. This has made such a difference. Jordan knows our dogs name and makes us feel so welcome. We now meet other dog walkers for pints post walk and Nic land lady provides little treats for our dogs. The staff are lovely, Dan behind the bar is a good egg. :
