Great place with various halls to host numerous events in one day. Conveniently located in the industrial area. Had a wonderful experience working with the sneaker festival there and loved the performance of the spray-off entertainment they had brought to the scene. Really amazing selection of sneakers and hypebeast style collectors items. Facilities there were nice and staff was friendly. My only minor issue was not enough non alcoholic options at the bar and bad signal/WiFi.
Went there to attend Winter Funland with my family, I think the event was quite overrated. £87 for tickets for 2 adults and 1 child, which includes hefty parking charges for £10. Spacious parking, no doubt, but the festival was overbooked. Rides were very childish. Although the ticket entry is for unlimited rides but there is no chance you feel like riding it again. The queues were utterly disorganised £7 for 5 churros. £10 for a balloon with lights. It's not acceptable. The highlight of the day for me was the circus, but even my 7 years old kid commented on the dressing of performers as being inappropriate. Really skilful though, the performers. Always have fun on any festival that is the only reason for giving it a 3 star.
My first time there fantastic! Easy to find easy to get around ! I took my son to his first time to a comic con ! Security were good ! But what I did not like with to many people in there it was to hot ! They need big fans in there from the ground just to hot !
The comic con event was great, well stewarded and thoroughly enjoyed by the grandsons Only let down by the parking area which had hastily been arranged on an adjoining cleared factory site better suited for off road vehicles, lots of mud & big puddles to navigate after alighting our vehicle. Having to pay £10 to park, surely not justified.
Stu Allan Memorial was the best night ive had here! Never seen it sold out before and full of people front to back all Happy dancing away!
We have visited this place a few times now for Day of the Dead festival and For the Love of Horror. Great venue for live gigs, plenty of space for stalls and outdoor area for fairground rides and food stalls. There is parking space on the grounds but there have been issues with people putting on high vis jackets and inpersonating official venue staff, taking money off visitors and directing them to park in unofficial spaces so beware! The venue is next to a main road which can flood during rain. There are plenty of taxi's/ubers and access to trams into Manchester centre.
Absolutely wicked but make sure you got deep pockets for taxi at end of night what cost me £6 there from hotel was £50/£60/£80 to get back not a single taxi would take us so hate to walk 40 mins
Great space but a little dark. Needs better lighting. Overall though a good place for get together and events
Great atmosphere, music and range of music for all dancers. The decor has been updated and looks great alongside the lighting, lazers and screens.
Came here for the 1st time for the convention *For the love of Horror* Enjoyed every moment of it.
