Went in looking for a book for my teen to encourage her to read. They couldn't have been more helpful! This bookshop has everything you dream of from a bookshop-perfect atmosphere and run by staff who clearly love what they do and are so helpful! We need shops like this in Cheadle!!!! Is it me or do bookshops have a wonderful smell?!
my mum and i took a trip here recently, we were served by jonathon in the bookshop who was really lovely and seemed to really love the bookshop :- we really enjoyed our trip to this beautiful bookshop. it was so reasonably priced we went home with bags full of books. thank you so much, it made our holiday. i’ll be back!

Wide selection of new & good condition used books , mainly but not exclusively paperbacks . Helpful advice & if a book is not in stock Johnathan will order it for you . Great service & the coffee’s not bad . Recommended !
Friendly and informative service with a great selection of books at very low prices.
Nip in fairly regularly and never leave empty handed. The lady who works there noticed I was looking at some of Solzhenitsyn’s stuff so went in the back and got more of his works out. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic and very helpful. The prices are also very reasonable.
I recently discovered Greenhouse books during my most recent trip to Cheadle and I believe to have found a brilliant hidden Gem. The owner Jonathan seems to really love the shop and that really carries over to you as you visit the shop. The prices are brilliant and make sure you grab a cake if you visit as they are to die for
Nice Book Shop with friendly and helpful staff, running Chess tournaments on Saturday's at 2pm! Recommended!
It is so rare to find a second-hand book shop anywhere so this is a prize. Their home-made cakes are priceless and coffee excellent. This shop makes Cheadle worth going to.
