Visited Patisserie Valerie in The Exchange Arcade. Lovely café. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Cake's were freshly made. Beautiful experience thanks.
Beautiful place! Wish I took a picture of inside! Remember to look up!!
It's very aesthetically pleasing inside here and nice quiet escape from the busy city gangs
An oasis of calm compared to the madding crowds outside , amusing to stand under clocktower end at 12 noon , look up and admire the artwork for 2 mins.
This fairly compact shopping arcade, opened in 1929, is located at the back of the Council House. Well worth going inside if only to admire the opulent architecture, huge glass dome, colourful frescoes and carved wooden shopfronts. There are a few eateries and some upmarket shops selling designer clothing, shoes, kitchen units, sofas, fine arts, and good quality wines and whisky. Shame that there were so few shoppers and visitors here. The arcade is easy to get to as trams stop right outside it, and there's a car park close by.
Just nipped in here whilst we was visiting the markets before a concert and it is very nice on the inside, but you can't really access the shops from the inside, you have to enter them via the main door on the street which is a bit inconvenient
Beautiful Building, and the shops are not too bad either.
Exclusive shopping centre at the heart of the city constructed between 1927 and 1929 as part of a major civic building project which included the Council House. The shops are flanked by impressive wall art and high ceilings. The Exchange was Nottingham's first shopping centre, opened on 22nd May 1929.
Really amazing at the dr Martins couldn't ask anything better warm friendly and always smiling
Some good shops in this arcade Near Up and Running- pop in and say hi to Rob
