The gardens really filled all expectations, the colours where just totally amazing, words would not do the gardens justice. Go and see for yourself during the month of May and a great railway as well. I would definitely recommend doing the railway first if you turn up at opening so you don't wait to long.
Absolutely amazing place. Family-friendly and dog friendly. The gardens are well maintained with variety of flora. There are several ponds with some with fish in them. Exbury also gives you access to scenic walks along the Beaulieu river. Plenty of free parking. Tickets per adult are £11 which gives you access to the whole 200 acres of garden area. There is a ticket of £5.50 per head for railway steam train which is a joyful 20min ride.
Amazing day out. Lots of walking routes, activities to keep the children busy, it's dog friendly and there is a train ride. The train lasts 20 minutes and takes you around part of the gardens. The other half you have to walk. There are 3 different types of paths one for wheelchairs and others, gravel or grass. At the far end is stunning views over the Beaulieu river.
Beautiful gardens to explore. Be prepared for a good amount of walking. The 20 minute train ride is also worth the upgraded ticket. An enjoyable family day out. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars however is the food is very overpriced and I'd recommend taking a picnic and maybe just treat yourself to a slice of cake and a cuppa not a whole lunch.
A wonderful experience at Exbury gardens. We went for a fun day out and certainly had a good time. The gardens are filled with greenery and clearly looked after with such care. We also purchased tickets to go on the train ride which was amazing and definitely an experience to remember. Good pricing for the train ride however, it would have been great if there were concessionary tickets for the garden for Senior Citizens. Also i would recommend going in May / Spring as understandably there weren’t any flowers in full bloom maybe due to the hot weather? as one would want to see during the Summer season, but otherwise overall a good experience. The Sundial garden and the ponds were the highlights!
What a beautiful place. Wonderful gardens. There is a light railway cost £5.50 for half hour ride around the gardens really enjoyed our visit. There is gift shop places to eat and drink. Well worth a visit.
A lovely place to visit, take a packed lunch or eat at cafe on site, clean & friendly. Very reasonably priced for what u get for Yr money. Very beginning of the season is the best time to go for the blooms.. long walks & I walked for absolutely hours... seeing lots of different areas there. I did buy a train ticket & was a 25 min long ride, it went around the area I didn't actually walk as I run out of time. If u love walking it's a lovely day out, it was well supported but not overcrowded.
Always beautiful gardens to visit. The recent record hot weather has hit the plants, bushes, lawns, etc very hard. The folk here have done their best to keep things watered. Some areas were looking very parched however. Future rains will help of course. Outside catering here will not be to everyone's taste. My girlfriend's lunch was not cooked properly right through. However, friendly staff throughout the site make it very welcoming. The temporary gallery was excellent and I purchased a unique and costly work. Don't forget to do the lovely riverside walks!
Thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Beautiful gardens, huge variety of trees and plants, lovely little steam train ride and nice restaurant. Looking forward to visiting in the Spring to see all the magnolias in bloom.
A wonderful afternoon was spent here walking through this Gem of all Gardens. Breathtaking. Such beauty and layout is superb. We had a wonderful Vegan Lunch at the Vegan Cafe. Five star visit
