A friend of mine bought their car here and was happy with their purchase. I was also well looked after from the day I popped in to have a look right through to coming back several times and finding the right car. Buying from Motovation was a pleasant and seamless experience. Thank you!
I wanted to right a good review for the team here however due to their decision to put profit over customer satisfaction and their own reputation I can't. I recently bought a Skoda Fabia from motovation, the car was advertised as a "clean example" and well maintained. Given I was travelling half way across the country I asked for the service history to be forwarded so I could make a decision. Paris explained how the car was such a clean well maintained example they had called around previous garages to source any outstanding service history. Given the lengths Paris went to to find the missing service history you may think that they have a high attention for detail, this unfortunately may not be the case, or the documents I found hidden in the users manual in the glove box had been intentionally left out the documents that had been sent via WhatsApp or displayed in a pack on the desk by Ben. After buying the car and driving home I found a red envelope hidden in the users manual, inside was documents confirming the car I had purchased had previously been accident repaired. New front wing, bumpers and headlight. To cut a long story short I was fuming! Paris and Ben denied any knowledge of this paperwork explaining they had not found it. Given the effort that Paris had gone to to source the outstanding service history I refuse to believe the search didn't start by looking in the skoda folder containing the user manual that was in the glove box! This is either a total lack of attention to detail or, and this is my personal opinion, that the paperwork was hidden to increase the cars value. The car I had bought was clearly not as advertised! On closer inspection there is clear misaligned panels. The radar that controls the ACC is intermittently working due to it not being recalibrated after its accident. I asked the team to reimburse me a fraction of the cost of the car to reflect the fact that its clearly not worth what they asked for before the discovery of the paperwork to which they scoffed and only offered a full refund if I drive 170 miles and deliver the car back to them at my own expense. I am now taking action through trading standards for false advertisement and have alerted Piston heads, Car gurus and Autotrader to their misleading advertising tactics. Yes I could spend another 200 quid crossing the country in two cars and get my money back however I know they will only sell this car on again and as Ben so professionaly admitted "would bin the paperwork" and sell the car to some poor sod for an over inflated price. If like previous reviews you have had or are having issues with Auto-motive I strongly suggest contacting trading standards. Secondly contact the websites where you find their advertisements. Both Auto trader and Piston heads have account managers that have not recieved the news of Auto Motives decision to falsely advertise on their sites kindly, and have informed me with a enough reviews on either site there business can be removed from the site. You can also get their original advertisment emailed to you should you need evidence for trading standards. You can find customer service numbers on Google to both and make an official complaint to their account manager. Had they been willing to negotiate an outcome that didn't involve me wasting money this review and my decision to contact sites they advertise or trading standards could of been avoided. Just to clarify don't by a car from automotive and if you have had a bad experience contact their account managers on the websites they advertise on, get a copy of the advertisement and take them to trading standards.
Bought an Audi A4 Avant 2 weeks ago the sale was great the car is all the sales lady Sarah said it was. Only done 500 miles up to now but the car drives really well with no issues
I had the best experience in this garage! The customer service was the best and I can’t fault them at all. Any question I had were answered with extra. We left after our experience with a new family car. Very happy and satisfied customers!!
Absolutely amazing company, warm and friendly ! From first impression to sale of car! Trustworthy people & will recommend to anyone and 100% come back ! Affordable & professional
Great customer service, fast response, answered every question i had or chased it up for me straight away if unsure. Good price. Would 100% recommend.
Excellent customer service, lovely friendly staff who went the extra mile to help my son buy his first car. We would definitely recommend them and look there for a car another time.
If a 0 star was possible that's what they would get, I bought this car and in the same day it had broke. I contacted them the next day stating the issues however I live quite far away from the garage so instead of them having the car collected they told me to use the warranty instead which was absolutely no help as they were just as useless. After arguing for several months to 3 different companies trying to get it fixed they finally came and got it towed. I was then left without the car for a further 2months and received no extended warranty, when I finally got the car back it was covered in scratched and chips. The next day it continued to leak oil meaning whatever issue they tried to fixed wasn't done properly. Don't buy any vehicle from here.
very helpful and knowledgeable staff, test drive no problem, and any issues with the car are sorted before purchase. would recommend moto vation
Wouldn’t use again, purchased a Volvo from them, that was described as “very nice” it wasn’t.. needed a very heavy cut polish, bumper had lacquer peel, wheels needed refurb, anyway saw through that thinking I’ll sort it, however engine light came on, limp mode etc all pointed to turbo or position sensor, phoned them up and spoke to what sounded like a older woman not the younger one who sold the car, who said due to being 135,000 miles no aftermarket warranty but 30 days with them if I send picture of sale document, which I did still didn’t here anything, after trying to get back in touch phone was not answered so my view is they didn’t care about dodgy cars, also said I would need to return the car 60 Mile round trip at my cost! Most half decent dealers collect as part of customer service. Anyway iv since moved this car on to a mate who’s not bothered about how it runs just needed cheap car. My advice is to avoid this dealer. Added in response: this never got sorted, I was told to message a picture of the sale document and was told whoever I spoke to would ring me back, this never happened and few attempts at call back resulted in my calls not being answered. This is on top of me having to replace a gearbox mount within a week of buying it as gear changes were awful, not even an apology for this when I mentioned it or anything like “oh sorry invoice the parts and we’ll pay” nothing! Looks to me like cars don’t get a proper mechanical check.
