The worst clinic I have ever encountered. If you have a serious problem and call them, you will have to wait 3-4 weeks for an appointment. I have had a serious problem for 20 days and they wanted to give me a routine appointment, which is a serious problem for me. They are simply not interested in patients. The answer is to go to a private doctor. And what about those who don't have the money? The receptionists are very rude. There is one of them who is kind and always tries to help, Sarah.
I had appointment for covid vaccination, staff were very friendly. They checked my appointment time did temperature check, asked me to come inside. One of the Red Cross staff accompanied me to consultation room and took my details. Got my first dose and waited for some time at reception. Later I was asked to leave and informed that I may need to come back with in 3 to 12 weeks for second dosage. Great experience and great staff.
Essex lodge have been my doctors for many years , and I've got to say I've always received the highest care and never had a problem with this surgery, the doctors are great i like all of them. the receptionist ladies and men are always polite and always happy to help me and my family I would never change my doctors I would recommend my surgery always.
Every GP practice in the UK will have their share of positive and negative opinions about the service they receive and much depends upon the personalities of the patients and clinicians and Administrators running the practice. Nowadays GPs are mostly self employed though some are salaried . They receive less training than hospital specialist training to ultimately become a consultant specialist those wishing to have a good work life Balance often chose to be GPs. They do not often get any peer reviews from colleagues and so updating their clinical knowledge is not often a priority. They also have more freedom of practice than their hospital colleagues. The NHS has become a Business to make money and profit, that was the position in existence prior to 1948. Once the best health service on earth it is only the 10th best now and South Korea is the best. Their exist 4 different types of mixed health care system in the world. In a large practice with several GPs each will approach healthcare practice differently. Some will be diligent and seek to get good treatment outcomes for referred patients and others will be callous and indifferent to patient outcomes. A dangerous practice is one that ignored genuine medical needs of patients and makes repeated lame excuses. In many ailments a 6 week wait is the difference between a possible cure and certain death. Thinking themselves superior and failing too listen and even worse, failure too examin a patient and refusal to refer a patient that falls in a red flag catagory are signs of a negligent and dangerous practice. GPs receive a paltry sum of money per annum for each patient and they get paid to perform certain tests on patients but often do not bother with doing those tests, taking the money to boost their income. There are also troublesome patients that or never satisfied and who are serial complainers but thankfully most are not. No practice is perfect and so no physician is perfect and we all have our faults and perhaps expect too much . Business people seeking too profit and corrupt politicians since thatchers time and deliberate underfunding have contributed to a deliberate attempt to introduce an American style health system into the UK we're deliberate inequalities in healthcare are pronounced ,hence the so called post code lottery. East London is not the best place for healthcare provision and that includes the wealthier districts. Changing practices rarely improves matters has many will certainly realise.
Joined this surgery in 2021 and to date haven’t had major issues.nIt is very much on the phone and online, but it works for me. If the dr/ nurse cannot offer advise/ assistance they find out and call back. If they need to see you in person to better diagnose, then you have to go into the surgery.nI get texts for checkups and flu vaccines, or tell me about my prescription.nI definitely recommend.
