I've always had a pleasant experience with this GP surgery for over 3 years now however this does dishearten me to leave a negative review as I am at my wits end with this now as this experience has left me wondering if its the right GP surgery -nnMost recently my son 10 months old has been sick and trying to get a same day appointment unless he is 'really' ill in their eyes is impossible and feels like you have to jump through hoops with the receptionist to justify why you have to be seen.nnI understand they are managing the load etc. - but surely when a child is under the age of 1 irrespective of their condition or symptoms they should be taken as a priority if a mother is concerned! Once you actually see a GP some are phenomenal and incredibly supportive - but its impossible to get there!nnReally disappointing as I highly rate the care from the Nursing staff for babies and jabs and felt reassured by that - however it seems the receptionist/triage for babies is not treated in the same care.nnPlease consider this - especially when a mom is seeking help I don't want to wait 3 weeks to try get an appointment with a GP
I am deeply frustrated with the service at this surgery. The appointment wait times are absolutely unacceptable; even when explaining that you are in severe pain, the earliest available booking is a month away.nnTo make matters worse, the reception and phone staff are incredibly dismissive. They speak in a completely monotone, unsympathetic manner and show no understanding of the patient's situation. It feels like you are just a number to them rather than a person in need of medical care.nnIf you are looking for a GP practice that offers timely support or basic human compassion, I would suggest looking elsewhere.
Incompetent system and staff that’s clearly not engaged or helpful. Made appointment weeks ago, only to arrive well before the appointment time, wait and instead of being seen get told there is no appropriate person working that day to see me for what I am booked for. When I probe as to how this can happen when I clearly specify in the booking form as to what I am going for, they say they don’t read the box.!!!! So what kind of service is this where you book, go and get sent home without being seen?
One month for a doctors appointment? After living in Barnes for over ten years but still using the doctors over in Surrey which I originally grew up. I felt it was time to actually change my GP for ease.nThe doctors themselves are pleasant but after being told a month until the next appointment for any doctor was not only major shock but a first. I actually can believe these are the sort of wait times we are having to deal with.nnIt’s a shame but how can people be possibly expected to have to wait two weeks let alone a month. Outrageous!! Will be going back to my original doctors for sure!
I have been with Essex House for the last 20 Years and they are wonderful. A great team of very caring Doctors and Nurses. The support Staff ar also very good. I highly recommend this Practice.
