I still remember the day that I decided to set up my own business and actually my first thought was to call ESP and within 6 weeks we had a business. We were incorporated; we had our accounts all set up, everything. It was miraculous really and all thanks to ESP. I couldn’t have done it without them. Since then we have developed a very close working relationship which is largely down to Wayne's approachability and accessibility. Any question we ask is answered very promptly and there has never been a question that we’ve asked that Wayne hasn’t been able to answer. “I think that what works well with working with ESP is that they are not just our accountant. That’s the fundamental element of what they do, but they gives us so much more support and more of the strategic overview as well as dealing with the necessary requirements in our accounts. We actually get much more out of it than that so it’s looking at the strategic overview of where we are going and what we are doing and managing the risks and the financial implications, it’s our strategic decisions and it’s all-encompassing really so it’s been very, very useful. It’s helped us to control our business and to steadily grow. We have weathered some challenging times and working closely with Wayne and his team we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Accounting to us has always been a very bookkeeping experience. Previously we’ve just had somebody who ran some numbers and filled in a tax return and we were keen to move to a more useful tool as the business grew. We’ve reached the point now where we are actually looking at the numbers so we are looking at management accounts and looking at how profitability is going and making decisions on the effect that our previous work has had, so capitalizing on the more profitable work and ignoring the less profitable work. ESP have helped quite a lot, especially with helping us understand where the business is, we now know where we are going from day to day and we know that we’ve got an increasingly profitable business

“In the past 15 years of being in business as ESTU Ltd I have changed accountants 5 times – each time believing the “story” that each new one was THE one. The one who would be pro-active, work with my business to yield best results, be pro-active and help drive the company to bigger and better things, steer the company in the correct financial direction etc. etc. Needless to say, all failed to deliver on all points except the consistent increase in charges each year. All I experienced was expensive accountants, with no real business acumen. What a refreshing contrast ESP has proven to be. I now have a like-minded individual – Wayne Searle with very competent support from Ann Kitchen, who works closely with us and actually does improve our efficiency. We now have quarterly meetings and analyse our management accounts in order to highlight our performance against target and to focus on areas for improvement. What a refreshing change and therefore I would have no doubts about recommending ESP to any small to medium businesses”.
