A system designed to kill off people who are genuinely sick and disabled. DWP employees making huge bonuses for stopping the most vulnerable in societies benefits. They openly taunt you on the phone after forcing you to wait forever. How on earth did we end up here? Death will be a blessing.

Sorry to agree with previous comments. ESA put me straight onto benefit, then, despite asking for help to find suitable work, gave me a vague and rather basic assessment which I failed. Now getting no benefit. Getting in touch is nearly impossible and as for the decision makers and assessors - rude and unprofessional - are they even qualified??? The system needs shaking up.

DWP, wherever they are, or the most evilest and demonic part of a disgraceful government that we have in right now. Did you know only 20% of people on ESA or JSA etc are allowed to be passed, after assessment, or with assessment required for people who cannot get to the DWP offices, and of whom are treated just as disgracefully, including the most vulnerable people, the most disabled people in Britain denied what they are entitled to by the evils of the Department of Work and Pensions. Nobody is forced to work there. These people are absolutely sick!

Would have given no stars had this been possible. Google "ESA contact number" and 0843 number comes out first. Maybe should have known better as had I scrolled down the page I would have seen a free number just a few results later. Anyway, a 30 minute call on my mobile last week cost me over £15. Message to DWP: change that number straight away.
