What a real gem of a hotel. This hotel is set back in time but that's what we like. We had the balcony room which had magnificent views. The food is plain honest to goodness tasty food. Eileen and Christopher were very attentive....can't wait to go backRooms: 4/5
This was our 1st trip to the Enniskeen. A real gem. From Arriving and meeting EILEEN and being served by Chris it was wonderful. The food was lovely and the setting amazing. We will definitely be backRooms: 5/5
We just called for a few drinks, stunning location. Quaint old style hotel, based in first impression we are making plans to go back for a meal. Stunning! Really beautiful river walk too.Location: 5/5
Excellent stay at this beautiful traditional family run hotel , in a great location , surrounded by spectacular views, gorgeous woodlands & a lovely nature walk to the river with seating areas, folly's, a hidden swing and a pond. The hotel is mostly old style elegance, its not trendy, but we loved the wood panelled walls and some attention to detail like the beautiful cabinets with old postcards & history from the area. We booked at the last minute and took one of the larger twin executive rooms, which was very clean, and looked onto Slieve Donard & the sea & some of the best views in Ireland we reckon! The cooked breakfast was great and a bonus that we saw some red squirrels from the window. Thanks to Eileen on reception for giving us such a warm welcome, hope to return again sometime - thanks.
2nd stay. Sister and I took mum away for 85th birthday treat this time. Family room was perfect for 3 of us. Dinner was amazing and so delicious! Everything so fresh and tasty. Lovely breakfast. Staff all so good and attentive! Mum really enjoyed her treat!.Rooms: 5/5
we did not stay over night at Enniskeen house as we had just called for some lunch and drinks, the food was very very nice the staff were helpful pleasant and made us feel that nothing was to much trouble. We will be back to stay the beautiful scenery was simply breath taking.
We stay there fairly regularly and love the location. Overall the place is clean and well kept and prices are not too expensive. It is a family run hotel and not as professional as some places. The food standard is adequate for short stays but menus are limited and so we eat out too.
Lovely old style country house. The staff there are really lovely and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The room was clean and cosy. Super comfy bed and I got an excellent nights rest. The food was lovely. There is also a really pleasant meandering walk down to the Shimna river on the grounds. To top it all off, ample parking. I would definitely recommend a stay at the Enniskeen Country House.
Very comfortable hotel. Lots of original structure. The grounds are magnificent. Beautiful with clear views of part of the mourne mountains. Fantastic. The food was delicious. I was a one day visitor and hope to stay overnight in the near future.
Ate in the restaurant. Fantastic views from the well-maintained grounds and from the patio of the restaurant of Slieve Donard and Dundrum Bay. Menu was not extensive, however that was in keeping with the family run feel to the hotel. The food was well cooked, nicely presented and the service was with a smile and willing to help. And the bill? Incredibly easy on the pocket. A recommendation.
