I am a retired member of staff with 30 years service. Retired staff are given a free monuments pass, valid for 5 years. My last card expired in 2022 and I emailed HR 5 weeks ago to renew it but have had no response. Appalling service
Like the other reviews say, they are very hard to get hold of. I understand that they are a charity, but they need a shake up. Their website is very slow and it is hard to renew your membership if you have thrown away your old card, as many people do when their membership expires. Goodness knows how much money they are losing.
Impossible to contact anyone in the organisation by phone, email or online chat. Very poor web site which sends you round in circles. They also have varying membership prices depending on how you join, of course they don’t tell you this.
Why can't you answer the phone ?

Bought a 9 Days Pass for two but weather on scheduled visits is rubbish so we postponed. Requested for return or extension of card-both wasn’t granted. Never to buy prepaid pass with inclusive dates- Total loss of money. Discouraging those planning to buy.
It is impossible to contact English Heritage by phone. Zero membership service. I wish I had never joined
The best place in Swindon to work, if you have any common sense
Office building which includes a library and archives, held by Historic England and English Heritage.
Secure car park for English Heritage staff.
