Good not brilliant. Although booked well in advance couldn't cope with meal orders for 25 people including 11 children. Told it was because we had all chosen different things from menu. If there had been fewer choices fewer different orders would have been made. Lovely large garden for the children but if it had been raining nothing for them
Lovely traditional pub, warm and welcoming. Huge beer garden and space for us to stay overnight in the camper. Good, reasonably priced pub food. A lovely stopover for us 2adults, 2 children and 2dogs. Would highly recommend x
Beautiful and quaintly decorated pub, run by a lovely lady named Sheila. We arrived 10mins before lunch was due to stop and she squeezed us in. Amazing food and wonderful friendly service. Highly recommend for lunch. There's seating inside and also out the back in a large garden with apple trees and birdlife.
Shelia was the most welcoming host! Extremely friendly and kind! The room was clean, comfortable and accommodating. Thank you Sheila for a wonderful short stay! Can’t wait to come again!
This pub is run by the amazing Shiela, who is a local treasure and makes every visit entertaining. Don’t expect formality or anything approaching the trappings of modernity, but you will have had a good time whatever you went there for. Pub grub, B&B, camping, beer garden, small function room all available.
A very clean and comfortable place to stay. Traditional and full of character, my family and I were made to feel very welcome here by Sheila and her staff. Nothing was too much trouble, convenient yet quiet location with ample parking and offering excellent value for money.
Very friendly and welcoming pub with traditional decor. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the evening meal was lovely, good quality at a reasonable price! The staff went out of their way to assist us with our onward travel which was very nice also.
Really enjoyed our overnight stay. The venue is a typical old English pub. The garden enormous. The landlady staff extremely welcoming and friendly. Room adequate very clean. Breakfast 5 star. We will be returning. Thank you.
Had a meal at England's Rose pub last night. Heard many good comments about the pub so decided to check it out for myself, certainly did not dissapoint. Sheila the landlady/owner very welcoming and friendly could not do enough for you. Very good food at reasonable prices. Certainly would recommend to anyone wanting to visit this pub. British hospitality at it's best.
This lovely pub restaurant is run by the most adorable lady, Sheila. She is so warm and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for her. She cooked us a delicious dinner last night and perfect breakfast this morning. We had a great nights sleep in a lovely comfy bed. Thank you so very much.
