Story

We believe in redefining the old model of physiotherapy and personal training by empowering clients to own the knowledge required to implement a sustainable change in their lives.

Instead of aiming to provide you with a service that results in a reliance on health professionals we want to do the opposite. We want to teach you how simple it can be to make a very large and sustainable improvement in your life without an over reliance on health professionals. These principles lay the foundations for our methods where we use a habit based approach to personal training focusing not just on exercise but on nutrition, sleep, stress and building a growth mindset.

I went to Empower looking for a quick fix to an old back injury. What I got was so much more! My physio Clem, not only treated my injury but really helped me understand what I need to do to keep it away. He helped me see all the contributing factors to my injury and really helped me makes some positive changes in my routines. Highly recommended.

I have a few chronic health issues that make physical activities a bit harder for me and from time to time set me back in my progress (so a lot of patience is needed, Thanks Clem!!!), so I can't have just ANY trainer, it needs to be a very experienced and knowledgeable one. After having been left disappointed by other trainers in the past, I spent a very long time looking for the right one for me, and I was lucky enough to find Clem Nihill, who I can honestly say has made a very significant and positive impact in my life. Clem is very supportive and gets very involved in the process and listens to all you have to say. Clem doesn't only focus on helping you shape your body or lose weight, he also wants to know more about your daily routine, in order to find out all the possible things that may need addressing, like sleep, stress or nutrition, to achieve a healthier lifestyle. I also have to say I never have enjoyed a training session as much as I enjoy training with Clem, as he makes every session interesting and fun. A few months ago I recommended him to a friend of mine and she's thanked me several times for it. If you're looking for a knowledgeable trainer that will really deliver and care about your progress, look no further!

I was hugely impressed with Clem's clear commitment to evidence based practice. He is a trusted and impartial trainer; his sessions are enjoyable, focussed and work towards ensuring a sustainable healthy lifestyle. Highly recommend!

Having had a few painful issues with my lower back, glutes and calves for the last number of months, I was in need of some serious fixing! Otherwise my plan to rejuvenate my sporting career was grinding to a premature hault! Having visited Empower and spent a couple of sessions with the very personable and highly professional Clem, I noticed a substantial lack of regular pain after training and I was a lot more at ease in my movements following the instructions Clem advised me to follow.

Clem shows his clients how to not only recover from injury but also sustain the progress after. He follows proven evidence to avoid the bullshit often associated in physiotherapy
