I was here for the Half Man Half Biscuit gig Decent venue right in the centre of town. Sound was good from right at the front Staff were friendly and easy/quick to get in and served at the bar There was some confusion as to where the exit was though! and it's a trek to the toilets. Can't really comment on drinks as I only had water but £2 does seem a bit steep for a bottle.
Fantastic night watching the incredible Simon and Oscar. Great music on the balcony bar before. Good selection of drinks. Friendly helpful staff.
Went to a gig here. Good venue and brilliant staff who looked after my friend who is in a wheelchair. Bar prices also reasonable and good choice.
Came here in Jan 2024 for James Arthur. First time coming to a public event since my friend has become a wheelchair user. We phoned ahead and emailed and were told the venue was wheelchair accessible. Positives, we didn’t have to queue like stated and there was a lift to get to the main room. But we were left to ourselves to find our way around. When we found the room, none of our tickets were checked at all and there was nobody monitoring the accessible area. I know not all disabilities are visible, but 10 mins into the concert, so many people moved from the general standing area into the accessible area that we were all boxed in. There is no raised platform so this area is a sectioned off area to the left hand side of the crowd which anyone can enter. It could fit 3-4 people in each row. So if you weren’t in that first row of 3 -4 people, you could not see. There was at least 6 wheelchair users all placed one behind another , as you could only fit 3-4 people across, so limited to no visibility. We were told that the accessible area is usually at the front but James Arthur’s security made it be at the left side of the general standing for this event? Poor accessibility especially in the event of a fire as we were all boxed in.
Perfect venue for intimate gigs. Bar staff were on it, no long waits for beers. Relaxed environment for a good night out.
Went to watch Kiefer Sutherland and he was brilliant and well worth going to see, he seems a very genuine person and very down to earth. Venue was good and I liked it as it was not to big and it felt more intimate. Drinks at the bar were a good price. Would definitely go again if someone else was on that we wanted to see.
Great venue... great price for drinks ... loved it
Great venue, good friendly staff.
First time at a gig in Coventry and the Empire was an excellent venue. The bar prices were reasonable and queues were not too long. It was a decent size for the event and seemed smart, having apparently only opened recently. I’ll be back next year to see The Enemy in their home town.
Great atmosphere. Long way to the toitets. Sound was good and bar servicd was excellant. Aot better than the previous venue.
