Story

Emmaus Leeds is a charitable business which helps homeless people (Companions) to help themselves by providing a home and work in a supportive environment. Companions live ‘above the shop’ which supports the running costs of the Community and provides an opportunity for Companions to develop skills and self-respect through working and contributing.

From our central Leeds location, we run a quality second-hand furniture store (with free collection and low-cost delivery to all LS post codes. We also have a café, hire out meeting/leisure room and IT suite (providing informal and accredited training and suite hire) and offer supervised car parking. If you are interested in making a donation (either financial or physical items) or becoming a volunteer, then please feel free to contact us through the contact details provided.

Great place and great staff. Would definitely recommend it. We bought a dinning table and a glass cabinet and they gave us some extra chairs!! Thank you very much, will definitely come back!

My friend was kicked out of the shop as he wasn't wearing a mask, even though he is exempt. I think this is disgusting as this is accepted in any other shops. Some people need to understand that others have asthma/other breathing problems and not make them feel like they're criminals for not being able to breath

A great shop. Lots of very good quality furniture and other items and lots in stock. The staff are helpful and delivery is only £10. Great if you want to decorate your house on a budget. The staff are really helpful always and friendly.

I've bought a load of brilliant furniture from these guys. The shop is large so has room for a good selection of stuff, and the turnover of stock seems really good too. They do great work for the people they support too. A great cause to get behind and cheap furniture into the bargain!

We get new mattresses every six months and we donate our old ones here. If you need a clean good quality mattress only six months to a year old visit Emmaus.  Just bought two meet ones today,  so we will be donating the old ones next week. Yes, we do have money to burn!!!!

Emmaus provides a great furniture recycling scheme and house clearance service. We were amazed at the results.

I have been here a few times and always come away with a great bargain. Good size range of everything from furniture to bric and brac. Staff are always friendly even when my kids run riot in there! Can't wait to visit the shop again soon :-

Very very good place to find everything what you need very cheap. The staff is nice and helpful and the delivery guys are great. I have bought lots stuff from there as a person in low wage.
