Had a wonderful Christmas Eve experience here. The whole family had a marvellous time . The roaring fire, lovely welcome and Bailey's hot chocolate were just the beginning. Once in our seats Santa his elves, reindeer and a snowman all took the time to chat to us . Plus our Grandson received a good gift that he played with over the day and Christmas. Thank you.

Just visited the railway with my family, including my young Grandson. We all thoroughly enjoyed our trip on the Santa Special tonight. We were welcomed with mulled wine and mince pies, and the staff in the ticket office and cafe were all very friendly. My grandson was thrilled to meet Rudolph, and loved meeting Santa, who took time to talk to him, and gave him a lovely, age appropriate present. I would recommend this trip to families with young children, especially if they like trains!

We brought my nephew for the Santa express and had a wonderful time with the friendly staff. He is only young but loves transport and was so excited to see a 'choo choo train' and seeing Santa was the icing on the cake. The staff were excellent and really friendly! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

Absolutely loved this place accessible for all superb views of the abbey ruins fab for all the family. Wheelchair friendly pathways. stepping g stones across the river is an experience not to be missed Try it if you dare. A bridge provides access if you want to take the easy route. A beautiful location with lots to see and do especially if the sun is shining .

The heritage railway is well worth a visit but bear in mind the distance covered is relatively short and given the number of passengers and the fact that volunteers Run it the train carriages were not particularly clean...at least they weren't when we visited. So a good opportunity to see and hear a steam train and travel in vintage carriages but the experience comes with some reservations
