Beautifully decorated in a modern and trendy design, this fancy restaurant is offering nice British brunch!! Looking forward to seeing more of these dishes next time we visit here again in a near future, the dishes we tried, all tastes fine, and on a side note, this restaurant opening at 11am, definitely one main reason it advantaged amongst the other restaurants and pubs nearby the area, closer to us when we walk around the area, and wanted to look for somewhere comfy to sit in and rest a while, while having lunch on a sunny day.
Delicious food! Highly recommend the wagyu beef burger, lamb ribs, and crab crumpets. Sexy greens were a bit watery for me though, and the broccoli oddly giant. Service was very nice and friendly. Happy hour was a bargain! 2 for 1 cocktails and £12 bottle of wine until 7pm.
We went for the roast and where pleasantly surprised! So the service was spot on, really attentive and we weren’t left for very long to order drinks and food. Perfect! So the roast itself is on the more expensive side in comparison to other places in Manchester. The main element is a nut roast, that is the only thing for me that wasn’t good, it was more like a vegetable hash with nuts in and didn’t taste of much. However everything else on the dish was tasty, I loved the large portion of vegetables, the size of the broccoli was huge I loved it! They even had a vegan cauliflower cheese which was very good. Overall, great experience, friendly and attentive service from staff. Tasty vegan food and cocktails and really nice and warm atmosphere. Will be returning! Also dog friendly!!
Great place for any occasion. Delicious food, nice staff, vibrant atmosphere. Excellent new menu too, every dish is completely different with all the flavours perfectly paired to it. We shared 2 starters, 3 mains and a dessert - if we could fit any more in, we would.
On the recommendation of friends and more than a few websites we went to Elnecot for the Sunday lunch. It's OK overall. First off the service is fine, not particularly attentive or friendly. The food turned up in good time and looks impressive. I was very impressed with my beef and my partner's Pork, both were very high quality and delicious, the meal was unfortunately let down by a overly salty gravy which is dowsed over the whole meal and very mediocre veg and sides topped by an overcooked Yorkshire pudding, one section of mine was close to charcoal. Overall for the price I would expect better veg than was supplied. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day so I will definitely be returning in the future to give it one more shot.
Wide selection of small dishes larger than tapas. We each ordered two plus chilli chips to share. Really nice blend of flavors. The pork belly was exceptional - highly recommend. Friendly and prompt service.
I booked here for a birthday bottomless brunch and had a wonderful time! The staff were super friendly, really attentive, truly impeccable service always kept our drinks flowing and always smiling. The pork belly brunch dish was delicious and really good size portion. The bottomless option is £25 each separately and then anything else you order food wise is on top. You can choose between a few different cocktails as well as beer so definitely options if you didn't just want prosecco and you're allowed to switch around your drinks. Will definitely be going back for different meals as I've heard the Sunday roast is really good too. It's also dog friendly, there were plenty of cute additions to some tables all well behaved
A quiet place, very nice waitress and delicious food. I loved that the tips were not included in the bill, I decided to give them according to the service and the food. Good job to all the kitchen staff.
Great Sunday roast, I had the vegan option. You get slightly more veg as you don't get a Yorkshire pud, there we at least two types of roast potatoes and the nut roast was really tasty. Definitely recommend, the roast beef also look amazing. Shindigger on tap but no Guinness. Staff were friendly and the place had a great atmosphere.
Is this one of Manchester’s best vegan breakfasts? @elnecot was established by Chef Michael Clay around 5 years ago and it’s been on the go-to list for Manchester ever since. With a wide variety of dishes on each of their menus Daytime, Evening, Brunch, Afters as well as Sunday Roast, this one definitely ticks boxes for all kinds of food preferences. Taste: [really, really good]. We love this vegan take on the traditional shakshuka although we added eggs for extra deliciousness. The falafels are made from fava bean and they’re so soft they almost melt in your mouth. Complimented by the slow-cooked tomato ragu and a cashew cream sauce, the flavours were so good, we couldn’t leave any behind see last image. Not to mention the perfect crunch of the Companio sourdough. We also ordered the Bacon & Egg sandwich which tasted great. The only thing to make it exceptional would have been some house-made sauce rather than ketchup but we might be asking for too much now? The coffee wasn’t as great though, super milky and not a lot of flavour. Vibe: [really, really good] Elnecot is neighbourhood bar and kitchen located in Ancoats and it’s every bit as cool as you would imagine. It has an industrial vibe with lots of concrete, exposed beams and brick but beautiful complimented by bright colours and some soft furnishings. We enjoyed breakfast by the large windows but we can’t wait to go back and try lunch or dinner too. Instagramability: [exceptional] The falafels were presented beautifully. The type of presentation that made you want to eat it all as quickly as possible. They were served in a hot stone dish, keeping the meal warm the entire time. The bacon burger was simple but the brioche bun was toasted perfectly and the bacon and egg were both carefully placed no off-centred eggs here. Service: [exceptional] The service was really lovely with no complaints. We were given water and greeted with smiles. Price/Value: [really, really good]. The falafels were great value but we did think the bacon butty was a tiny bit pricey. The whole experience was great and we’ve been recommending brunch here to everyone. Insta&Tiktok: UKFOODBESTIES
