Lovely walks, plenty of bluebells in spring. Not far from the canal and Cromwell wood nature reserve

Nice place for mountain biking but it is extremely difficult to locate and find the trail head and it's accompanying trails, lots of variety however the trail length varies on which of the several paths you take. The last time I visited I was only on the trail for a puny 2 minutes and this was upsetting because I had to travel 4 miles to get there.

Park Wood has beautiful grounds, but as we know it's not the best place to be visiting I was attending a funeral. The cremetoriam building is lovely inside, nice waiting area and clean toliets the grounds are kept looking good. Just the reason for being there is normally to say bye or remember a loved one :

Lovely walks and some suicidal down hill tracks for mountain bikers scary to look at, ancient woodland with charcoal hearths, bell pits and trial holes. there was until AshGrove Coal mine closed around 1976. Blue bells and other wild plants and flowers are beginng to show through the understorey. a great walk with some early charcoal hearths and industrial history

Beautiful walks just watch out for runners and cycles.

Some great walking paths round these parts, handy for getting from shibden/southowram down into Elland or vice versa.

A beautiful crematorium with helpful staff.  Grounds are always well kept

Loads of routes but paths can become muddy.

Excellent place worth a trip better in dry conditions
