As near to perfect as you could get for a family holiday location. Belcote Cottage, Elie is spacious, well laid out and has every amenity you could wish for and with the beach quite literally a stones throw from the house, the kids are never short of something to keep them occupied. We’ll definitely be returning next year for more of the same!

We stayed (as an extended family group, ages ranging from 10 to 88) for a long weekend in March 2015. Although Belcote Cottage has the appearance of a standard seaside cottage from the street, its Tardis-like spacious interior is far from traditional. It's cosy and very comfortably furnished and equipped. Fantastic bathrooms with first-class showers upstairs and down, and an enormous living-room/dining-room/kitchen with huge family table mean plenty of space for all. The log-burner was a boon. The south-facing garden is equally large and a suntrap, and the location is perfect - the safe and sandy beach is just metres away along a short lane, and it's a relaxed and easy walk along the beach to buy your morning rolls and newspapers. Having rented a number of properties in Elie over the years, we unanimously agreed this was the best.

An excellent hideaway from everyday life. We decided to take a weekend getaway with our family and just loved the Cottage. It was relaxing, very clean and luxurious, and very affordable. We felt right at home and were able to visit the beach everyday because its so close! We will return :)

We love Elie Cottage and have been two years running both in the Summer and at Easter. We have 3 young kids so the enclosed garden is excellent and being only 2mins from the beach is excellent. My older boy can go to the beach himself, collect his bucket of sand and come back to the garden and we know he is perfectly safe as there are no roads to cross! The cottage is a short walk from the local shops and I would definitely recommend the watersports for both kids and adults. We love it and we are looking forward to our next visit in the newly refurbished house!

We stayed here last year for the Pittenween Arts Festival which is a few miles up the road (we felt Elie was a nicer spot to stay in) The cottage was great, even before the renovation. Perfect location just back from the beach but with a sunny secluded private back garden to to relax and BBQ in. Stays warm through the evening when the beachfront can get cold. Plenty to do nearby and beautiful location. Lovely owners. Can't recommend it highly enough.
