I booked this place at the last minute after discovering that my original dinner spot was closed—it was a Sunday, and options were limited. I ended up driving 30 minutes to get here, and I’m so glad I did.nnThe experience was absolutely worth it. The food was outstanding—beautifully prepared and full of flavour. The chicken was tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The dessert was equally impressive—rich, delicious, and the perfect way to end the meal.nnDespite the spontaneous change of plans, I left completely satisfied. A hidden gem that’s definitely worth the detour.
Not the cheapest place to go but roughly the same price as the other bigger places on the island. The food was really good so was the service. Carvery looked lovely too. Cant really fault the place.
We stayed in the Caladh Inn next door and decided to have some dinner after a long drive to the hotel. Everything was spectacular!nWilliam the server was polite, informative and kind.nAt first glance the menu seemed on the higher end price wise but after we saw and ate the food it was worth every penny. We had the carvery, you could choose from 1,2 or 3 courses of starter, main carvery and dessert.nnWe chose the main and a dessert. The carvery consisted of a choice of Turkey or Lamb. We both had the lamb which was succulent and full of flavour. You could tell it was fresh and free range and when the chef cut it for you it wasn't in horrible wafer thin slices it was thick cut and a perfect amount. For the side dishes there was a wonderful variety of meats and veg all cooked perfectly. I tried them all and there was not one that I didn't like! See photos It was £52 for two people with carvery, dessert and soft drinks.nnThe dessert was even better all made in-house with locally sourced ingredients. There were so many to choose from but we had the white chocolate and vanilla panna cotta & the cheese cake. The flavours and textures of both were amazing!nnThe joining hotel has also been amazing. With helpful and polite staff, adequate rooms and accommodating for dogs at just £15 per night which was perfect for us!nnOver all we are really pleased with our stay and we will be back!
Cracking meal. The carvery was too tier and not stingy at all. You can go up as many times as you like and for the price, it is unbelievable. The staff were all fantastic, also. Would recommend booking as early as possible, we were unable to get a table on Saturday but thankfully got one for Sunday.
The restaurant has a small dog friendly area near the door where we could sit with our dog, Harry. The service was polite, friendly and efficient and the decor was warm and welcoming. Our family ate from the carvery and the ala carte and the food from both was delicious. We enjoyed our meal and would have no problem going back. This is a hotel restaurant and it isn't fancy or posh but it is very good
