Very good chicken sandwich and chips, also truffle Mayo, however the potion is a bit too small, the price is a bit too high and they don’t have enough seating, but i was lucky all the time to have space. Once I’ve been charged too much by the stuff, and when I realise it I went back to get my refund. Would say the stuff should be a bit more attentive on that. Bit the place overall worth checking.
First time visiting here recently. Tasty burger and fries. Burger was slightly smaller than what I was expecting. Flavourful. Can see why it has won awards in the past. If you are a burger lover, a must try
The top dog is a top burger! And their togarashi fries are also brilliant! One of the best burger spots in town!Food: 5/5
Went to their Edinburgh stall at Bonnie & Wild. £10ish for a burger, no chips. It was nice enough with black pudding, but wasn’t close to the old Bleecker Black from Bleecker St. It was quite rich so I’d have liked something to cut through that, plus the patties were slightly too thick and needed longer/a slight char.
The portions are way too small for the prices they are charging. It would be fine if it was great quality but it wasn't. The burger was bland and the patty must have been frozen given how uncooked it was in the middle relative to how charred it was on the outside. The pickles were nice, but the meat was completely unseasoned. The 3 hot wings which were charged at £5.50, I'd expect at least 4 at that price, were not that spicy and way too expensive a side. You'd expect for a place that only has burgers and hot wings and charges as much at they do the food would at least taste good.
Great burgers, nice place, great staff. See people complain about the burger prices/size, however for the quality of the food I think it makes up for it. Ordered 2 burgers one time and one of the chefs forgot the second one, but when I asked about it he apologised and took the second burger off my bill. Waiters are also very nice.
Was my favourite burgers but last two visits very disappointing. Top dog now bland overcooked and the buns which were the perfect thin moist brioche bun now large bland thick and dry. Really disappointing as they were previously great but now bland unseasoned and skimping on the cheese and mayo. Hope its temporary but that has been 2 disappointing visits. Will stop sending folk there now Kid-friendliness: No options for kids
Best burgers in Glasgow. We had the Top Dog and NYC, still thinking about them. Delicious Staff were very friendly. Looking forward to trying the Edinburgh one.
It's definitely 5 stars for meat eaters but unfortunately if you're veggie you're kinda forgotten about. One option that is nice but sometimes you want something different. I feel like in west end of Glasgow there should be more than one veggie option. Edinburgh has tofu burger, a lot of veggies in Glasgow would love that too. It just makes it difficult when your partner is in mood for El Perro negro and he eats meat and you only have one average veggie option so he's excited for the food and you're disappointed.
Restaurant in St James centre. Tried the burger as the best in the UK! Unfortunately, it did not live up to its name, ordered a bacon cheese burger, got a different. Chips were very cold. Burger was nothing special in my eyes, over priced for the size, should have went to five guys!
