Sorry to say that it wasn't amazing.  The inside looks really nice and the food was alright. Some of it was quite tasty. Unfortunately it's pretty expensive for what you get. There were some items on the menu that we had been told were out of stock, but then it looked like others were able to order the same thing just a little while later. On a few occasions it took a long time to get a drink, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. The music was decent but would have been better if it was Spanish themed as it is a Spanish restaurant. Had trouble sleeping later that night as stomach just felt uncomfortable.  It's got the bones for a good restaurant but it needs some serious overhaul. Maybe lower the prices slightly and hire some more staff that know what they are doing and it could be much better, but for now the future doesn't look good.

Superbly cooked bland food. Everything tasted of just salt and pepper, but mainly salt, except for the mushroom dish we had which, fortunately had enough creamy garlic sauce for us to dip every other dish in. We were really disappointed, especially considering the price.  Saving graces, apart from the mushrooms, were that the staff were great. We still had a good time for this reason only.

Had enjoyable meal here recently, however, the change of menu from traditional Spanish to a varied, what I would call 'European' , creates confusion is expectations. If you are looking for Spanish. Check the menu first save arriving and being disappointed.  Staff are helpful and attentive providing excellent  service, and food is very good, it's just confusing and not what I was expecting.

Lovely sauces and well made dishes, perfect portion sizes aswell

Just had our fourth visit to El-Nido. First 2 not so great, but it was last year and just opened after lockdown, so benefit of doubt. Went back week last Saturday and food was lovely. Just been back tonight for the Special3 x £15, food was awful, I never complain but expressed my disappointment with waiter. He offers free dessert which I declined, but after a nice chat it seems?? There is a new chef a different farmer for meat… I’m not convinced and won’t be going cuz k again.  Local resident

Excellent quality, service and value. We ate here for a mid week takeaway lockdown. We ordered a Chicken Burrito, Salmon, Sea Bream, and lots of small plates. All were delicious. The staff were very professional when I ordered and then picked up the meal which was on time - definitely will go back once fully open!

Absolutely brilliant food,  and the service is exceptional, please get down to this gem of a restaurant you won’t be disappointed, Jay will sort you out and try his cocktails, compliments to the the chef

Lovely friendly staff and food beautifully displayed and tasted fab!! Lovely decor. Wait staff did not hurry us away as we kept on chatting as one does after not seeing friends for months on end during covid. One staff member kindly went the extra mile to help my friend who had a burst tyre. He kindly went and changed the tyre in the pouring rain! What a gent. Thank you for having us and keep up the great work.

So on my way over to the restaurant I had an accident which resulted in ligament damage in my ankle, the staff at el nido were amazing!! Made sure I was comfortable and checked I was ok. My husband and I ended up having a lovely meal, we recommend the belly pork and pastas bravas. Thank you to the waiters working last night, excellent customer service. We’ll definitely be returning

Lovely food; great service. New chef who wanted feedback and even brought over a taster of something new on the menu ... Basque stew...
